Title: LifeOS PM2 Poll
Post by: degers on May 12, 2010, 11:07:48 AM
Hi guys.

I just wanted to get a general feel for how the new LifeOS has been received and so I started this poll to try and find out what the community thinks of the new software with the intention to relay this information back to Innvo Labs.  Please will you vote for your option and feel free to write any comments below! :)

Many Thanks,
Degers

I'm staying with 2.0 not because I like it better than 1.1, but because I'm in hope of Innvo fixing the issues soon. Otherwise I might revert back to 1.1

Can I vote twice?

Stitch is staying on the 2.0 even though I've noticed some problems. There are some things about it I like too...

Lilo was downgraded to the previous version of the software, everything went fine BUT I had to use the POP method. Not that that was any drama.

Peeky and Pennie will stay with the PM2.  I haven't really given it a fair chance to explore all of the changes.  Hatching was a little scary. Glad Degers pointed out that they would be sluggish for a longer time then in previous hatchings.  J.C is still on the 1.1 and LOA has never been upgraded yet. She's still a baby dino. ;) I'm thinking that it would be fun to have each dino on a different Lifeos. Perhaps LOA will get the 1.02.

degers, You know all the problems I ran into with the new operating system, and I still am going to post the video of glitches, etc to show some common problems. Besides Nova's physical problems, I couldn't;t and didn't like the overall feeling of the new OS, so with some " GUIDANCE FROM AN ANGEL" NOVA eventually was able to return to her previous OS.
If and when the new OS gets it's bugs fixed, I will decide if I still want to upgrade or not. with all the problems that just happend at the same time, I may or may not keep her the way she is. It is sort of like a Pleo version of the Science Fiction Movie, " The STepford Wives", maybe Nova doesn't belong to that club, she is just different............ ;)If I get a New Pleo, the 2010 or perhaps a later model down the road, then it will have the new OS and by then the " 'Bugs" will have been deleted. Nothing more annoying than hearing strange noises coming from your Pleo that don't match the movements at all.                                           RedwoodsMama   and " Naughty" Nova  :( %)

I'll stick with the upgrade, though I don't like the occasional 'freezes' and have gotten none of the promised reactions to the colour red or sounds, and have definitely lost reactions to the leaf.  I have gained a lot in movement, he will now even move about when crouched down in 'sleep' position, and his usual personality has seemingly gradually reasserted itself over time so that the odd cries and inappropriate reactions that I noticed at first have become less and less apparent.

Stitch too has become a bit less independent and responds more to me touching him now, but I miss his responses to the leaf, that was always fun to show people when we are out and about and they comment that you don't have to feed them :P

I did get a response to red, in very strong direct sunlight, with a KFC red spoon I got him to track it with his head... I again assume that this is optimised for the newer Pleo's coming out this year, but Pleo does indeed react if the circumstances are just right.

I have this big red bag in my study which Angus is always drawn towards. I too miss Angus reacting to the leaf it was one of those things that made him seem so life like.

Yes, I miss Iggy's reactions to the leaf, it was nice to have something to 'reward' him with, something he appeared to value.  He's so not bothered now that today he was even singing with his mouth full, like he'd forgotten he was in the middle of eating it.
