Title: Packing Position Problem
Post by: Saylene on April 09, 2010, 06:47:36 PM
Good evening everyone! Marris and I have been doing well, with the exception of one problem I noticed today. When we were done with playtime, I held the button down per usual to get her into packaging position. I have done this a couple times before due to travel or time constraints. Today, I would do everything per usual, and she would give her normal cry that she gives when going into the position, but continue with her usual movements. I have tried this three times, and I even tried it twice again after recharging the battery. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this problem, or had experienced it in the past?

If it helps, she's a Uglobe model. I can check the battery specifics later. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Seylene, if Pleo is in the middle of a motion unfortunately he/she will ignore you until that motion is finished. The timing can be difficult but just keep trying. Alternatively if you are quick you can simply shut Pleo down when they straighten out between motions without using the Pleo button at all. Hope this helps :)

Hey Saylene,

Just hold the Pleo button longer than usual.  The sound that you are hearing means you are probably not holding the button long enough.
Try holding it for 20-30 seconds, try counting it out, then you should have no problems.

Hi, thanks for posting this - I'd had similar problems, and because I have a rehomed Pleo that was bought second-hand I'd just assumed that function didn't work.  It does, and by following IMR's advice I did get Iggy to 'assume the position'.  Hope it works as well for you. :)

IMoR. - Thanks. It could have partially been because she kept trying to go to sleep when I tried around the first few times.

degers- Thanks as well. I held the button down for twenty seconds and this time it worked. I'm probably either counting too fast now or Marris would be shaking my finger when I was trying it. Thanks again!

Oooops - it was also degers' advice that helped  - a shameful omission - my deepest apologies to degers! :-[
