Title: New to Pleo
Post by: Watergazer on April 02, 2010, 05:24:47 PM
I've been watching the Pleo since it's release and always wanted one. Then when the company went bankrupt I just about died, so it was shocking news to me when I decided to look up Pleos on a lark only to find them reborn! I am now awaiting my first Pleo.

Thanks for the welcome. I feel rather silly, being almost 30 years old and this excited over something considered by most people I know to be an overly expensive "toy" but I can't wait to get my hands on it. To me it seems like so much more than an non-organic toy. It really is the next step in technology and I love anything cutting edge.

Welcome Watergazer. Can't wait to hear from you after your little dino hatches. I think both you and your friends will love him/her. They truly are wonderful little robotic pets. Don't let my four hear me say robotic! ;)  Make sure you have a camera close by. :)

Hi Watergazer, Love your name by the way. ;D Don't feel silly being almost 30 and wanting waiting for a pleo. I am way over 30, ( a tad anyway) and never heard of them till this past Christmas! I am in love with my Pleo NOva, and to me she is ' almost Real." She may be a Interactive lifeform, or " robot, ( dirty word as fancy says.....) but everyone I meet is amazed at what Nova can do and they start cuddling and petting her and talking to her as a real pet. I am sure no little dog, cat, etc, gets as much attention as Nova does, ( and I have nine cats and 1 dog...) but without the liltterbox, food bill. :-[ and even better, the Huge huge Vet bills! The most my Pleo can cost, is a new Pleo brother or sister, a battery or some cosmetic changes, like clothes etc.
Welcome and glad you got your pleo and found this site.
RedwoodsMama   and ( sometimes limping ) Nova

Hi Watergazer, I'm in my forties and chuffed to bits with my Pleo, and my 92 year old mother loves him too!  You're never too old to be enchanted!
