Title: PleoWorld Cape
Post by: shadowmice on March 11, 2010, 04:58:03 PM
Shadowmice, I just ordered a cape to see how it is. Thank you for the information. I hadn't seen this before. Looks like a great solution' :)

Would you be able to post some pics once you get it? It wasn't too clear from the photo how it fastens on. I'd assume velcro underneath but both the tail and neck look like pretty snug fits so I'm not too sure how that works. Hope it does the job well.

I will post photos after I receive the cape. It does look like it would fasten by the photo in the add. I would think velcro, too.

I dont really see the purpose of a pleo-skin color cape, but it does sound very usefull.

With a lot of rubbing pleos paint tends to wear down. Some of us have very worn pleos! (Macon is almost completly dark green except for his tail. He has a brown patch just behind his neck too.)

the shipping cost it's too expensive and for a USPS method! I cant understand, and sorry, but this idea for the cape makes me think... Why a cape if they've changed pleo's skin? >:(

I think they mean an additional $36 shipping charge on top of the base price listed.  I guess depending on where in the world, the shipping charges can really add up. Hopefully, they'll be able to sort out less expensive alternatives for their lower cost items or they are going to lose a lot of potential sales.

That coupon code was still valid?  That's handy. I thought it said it was only until the end of February.

On that note, if you haven't signed up yet for the Pleoworld newsletter emails you may want to consider it as they do include the special coupon offers like that one. I made use of their reduced rate offer at Christmas to get Tessa.

i wonder if the new cover will add to the heating up of pelo and make it shut down more because of over heating ?

Good thinking lesodell,  I always worry about overheating.  That is why I try to keep the underside as open as possible.  I do like the item but it is more of a jumpsuit than a cape in reality.

True BBE. But they must've thought 'cape' was more catchy than 'jumpsuit'. Or something.  ;D

The cape was a little struggle to get on.  Bands around legs are very tight, but should loosen up. The fabric feels so nice. I think Peeky and J.C. will enjoy their capes very much. Here's J.C.  modeling his cape.
