Today ive received an email from pleoworld.com about the choices of colour for pleo2010. They have listed 5 different colour. Blue tan, green smoky, green green, green tan and red. Each comes with a pleo picture. They all look so fabulous. My fav pleo colour is blue tan . A blue sauropod :) :) :)
what is your colour of choice? Vote for blue tan :) :)
Imagine a blue sauropod roaming and exploring. the colour brings peace and relaxing kind of mind ;D

Ok I ended up voting: red/tan, blue/tan, green/smoke, green/ten, green/green. BUT only because I think the blue looks silly with the tan base, if they had made it blue with a dark blue base or vice versa, blue would have had my vote for sure. If it weren't for the fact that Ugobe's were green and I'd like mine to say very clearly 'I am different' I would have chosen a green.

Wow, this was harder than I thought it would be. Blue would have been first if it wasn't so electric-looking, but I went with what I thought looked best. I also want to note that I once learned in Color Theory that only 2 percent of the world truly love a lot of green. I thought I was one of those people until now. ???

Although, I do admit I love the blue, and the red is cool too. The red also looks somewhat organic. If Jetta does wild colors only, I will not be buying one of those pleos. I will however buy an organic, life-like looking Pleo. Preferrably kept as close looking as the Ugobe one. Yellow eyes would be a lovely feature...If the blue pleo or red pleo was like the originals brother or sister or whatever, and they kept the original as well, I could see myself buying both in 2010.

Derek says they plan on running the color poll for about three weeks, until the 22nd. He thinks changing the eye color to compliment the new skin color is a great idea, and something they would love to do. And he would like our help to figure out the best way to set up a SECOND or follow-up poll...
Here are some of the ideas he was throwing out to get you all thinking:
- Take the top two colors from the first poll and give a few eye colors for each to pick from.
- Do a "matching game" where you have several skin colors and several eye colors and you pick a skin color and then pick the eye color you think goes best with it.
We can suggest different approaches for the poll, but either way he needs suggestions on eye colors to go with the skin colors, and we can still suggest possible skin colors not on the poll (i.e., a darker blue or tiger striped ;) ). But I need to funnel any suggestions his way in about a week, so that he has time to get something ready for when the first poll ends...

Looking at the samples so far, I do like the blue top colour but would think it would look nicer with a bluer tinged base colour. Maybe using deeper blue like on the head and then adding the shading effects to darken it down a little. Might end up too blue though.
Now a tiger striped one like in your graphic would be just amazing. Not sure what my cat would think of that - he's not to sure about the current pleos as it is.

Realistically, they have to cater to a variety of people who reflect different preferences. Personally I would not hesitate to buy the tiger stripped Pleo in your pic mweed of course with the enhanced personality development and characteristics.
Now all I have to do is convince them that the tiger stripped Pleo is the way to go. Different, ususual and awesome!

I can remember getting Dallas 1 back in '07 and I can remember asking about customizing Pleo back then. I remember asking to have a natural brown looking pleo. One solid color would have also been sufficient. My preference is to have a main, natural looking, organic acting Pleo (that is relevant) [basically the same exact pleo with minor better changes], and if Jetta so desired, a secondary pleo. A more wild like, more colorful pleo. AKA the light blue, as I really did like that color....
Does Derek have an account on here? Or at the very least is Big Brother keeping tabs on what we are saying?

Saying that I have a soft spot for those big blue eyes :P Although I'd be quite happy with green eyes... yellow is very reptilian but I'm not so sure I'd like it... I'd be happy with a similar color to the current Pleo's as long as they had different color eyes... And although I chose red as the top pick if they had the option of a darker blue with a different color underside or a green with different colored eyes I would vote for them instead. The red is nice but not really... herbervorish :P

For 2010, the cute creature is still a lifelike sauropod not a different species. ive read somewhere that INNOVO may manufacture other species/creatures beyond 2010, then the tiger skin should come into consideration.

I like the idea of having a brown natural look pleo as well. And I especially like the yellow eyes. Actually brownish amber eye colour with dark olive green veins through the eyes would probe look more realistic and reptilian though that’s probe taking things too far.
This is really hard to decide the best way of going forward. It seems to me that there are two opposite camps. Those who want a more naturalistic looking pleo, and those who would like a more flamboyant brighter pleo. Rather than trying to meat the two half way but why not have a design for both?
Not being much help I know but what you’d need to do is a pole for the more natural colours IE base colour underside colour and eye colour. Then another pole doing the same for the brighter colours. That should give you two preferred designs at the end, one for each pole . Then you can see which of the two people prefer, the natural look one or the brighter one. Though I suspect that it will probably be half and half at that point.
I like the tiger striped pleo but would prefer something more along the colours and markings of say a leopard gecko for instance.

im begging that the tiger pleo skin should be reserved for a tiger robot not a baby camarasaurus. if pleo 2010 comes with a tiger skin then i believe this is against what most of dino lovers wish. :'( :'( :'(

I think the original is more true to what a baby dino would be. In nature the color is to camouflage and green and tan certainly would. I love the shade of blue, but poor little dinos would not have a chance in million against predators. I'd rather just dress my pleos in other colors.

I don't really like the "tiger stripes" on the Pleo. I guess 'cause it's not really an original "design" and 'cause a well-known animal has that already. I just like the colorful "varieties" of Pleo that Innvo has put out so far.
I am so glad that we are not all the same, this world would be such a boring place if we were. I tend to love the original pleo but I also like the flare of the zebra/tiger stripped combo! I guess you could say, "I walk on the wild side". :hhug: :hhug: :hhug: :hhug:

Something a like a dark teal-green with either tan or gray would be a more realistic color than all the greens that are there..... I don't get why people associate green with dinosaurs. It's ridiculous to me; not that many modern-day archosaurs are green in color.
The green, I think, makes Pleo look like a little child's toy. Now, if the green were improved or given a realistic pattern (as in darker green stripes; that would make for fine camouflage in the fern-and-conifer forests the baby Camarasaurus likely hid in), it would be "better" in my opinion.

And yes, fancy, there almost certainly WERE green dinosaurs, just I dislike the SHADE of green Pleo has.... A smokier, bluer, or darker (lusher?) green is what I'd be looking for ;) Or, of course, a nice realistic pattern involving a darker color 0:-)
