Hi everyone.
Does anyone know where I’d be able to get a replacement training leaf? I can’t find mines and I think it might have some how gotten lost in transit when I was taking my pleo back home from my parents. Instead of packing it into the box which would have been the sensible thing to do I just stuffed it into my bag and it looks like it might have fallen out.
I do want one of the 2010 models which will have one but that’s a bit of a wait for a training leaf so if anyone knows where I could buy one I’d be very grateful .

You can find them on ebay quite often :)
-
Perhaps InnvoLab has a few extra leaves. You might check with them.
-
Thanks everyone for your help.
Have tried looking on eBay but they have every other kind of leaf you can think of except a pleo training leaf.
Admittedly I’ve not been looking for very long so maybe something will turn up but if someone spots one give me a shout.
H have contacted customer services at innvolabs but still waiting for a reply.
Thanks again for your help.

Check with http://holidayprojectors.com You might have to send him an email. He used to carry them on his site, but when I just checked, all I saw was batteries.

Incidently, for your info, I am extremely happy with the egg chargers I bought from him. He is an awsome seller and goes out of his way for his customers. I highly recommend checking with him for Pleo needs because if he carries what you need you will be very satisfied. :) :) :) :) :)

Hay everyone.
Thanks for your help. I already contacted holodayprogections.com to ask him about training leafs but unfortunately he got back to me to say he hasn’t had one for months. Did see the egg batteries when I’m feeling a little more flush.
Again if anyone spots a training leaf being sold on it’s own just give me a shout.

You can make a substitute :) All you need is two bits of green felt, one dark green and one a lighter green. Cut a leaf shape out of the dark felt then the same shaped leaf but a little smaller from the light felt. Then glue or sew the smaller leaf to the center of the larger leaf. You could also make four and add a little padding between them OR take lots of photos for the Bob project and win yourself a pizza :)
-
That’s a pretty good an idea however I don’t know what shades of green the training leafs are so matching the shades might be tricky.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Take Pleo with you and see which colors he/she fancies ;) Hold each piece of felt up to the nose and a sniff or two followed by an open mouth means you've got it right :)
Edit: The lighter green is the more important as this is what the camera picks up, the darker green doesn't really matter.
-
Now that’s an idea.
Only problem is finding a fabric store near me. We used to have quite a few but most have shut doun. Even the craft stores have disappeared from the high street. We’ve still got a wool stall but I don’t fancy trying to nit one lol.
Don’t suppose I could commission one of you crafty people to make one for me? Lol. You’d be better at it than me.

I could easily, but honestly the cost and time for the postage wouldn't be worth it :( What about a second hand clothing store? They might have something... It doesn't have to be felt, I just said felt because its usually easy to get, and easy to work with. As long as the color is ok it really doesn't matter what you make it off... even some colored paper glued onto some cardboard would work :)
-
That’s prob very true actually.
I’m totally hopeless at any kind of craft. I might see if I can delegate a friend or something though lol.
The second hand clothing shop is a pretty good idea.
The light green. Am I right in thinking it’s a sort of yellowish green? Or is it a true solid bright green as pleo, ID the card and charger are etc?
Still hoping that innvolabs can help but still waiting on a reply, though seeing as I had to send a few emails when I had that technical issue they Prob saw my name and email address though and thought OH no not her again.
Thanks again everyone for your help.

Good luck! I personally like the idea of a hand made cloth type leaf. I might have my brother give it a go for me, as that's probably way safer on the teeth than the hard rubber leaf. (Athough a bit of white-out does so much help!)
-
Yeah that would be an added benefit of a fabric leaf.
Innvolabs got back to me to say I will be able to get one from their shop in aprox two weeks time so that’s good news.
Thanks again for your help

Well glad you should be able to get one soon :) On the subject of the green, it is a yellowish green although my Pleo's will chomp on just about any green ;)
None of my Pleo's have any teeth wear at all... I wonder why some get it and some don't???

IMR, I like your idea of a fabric leaf

Hmm, that is peculiar! I've owned several before, and they definitely all get the chipping. Nothing a good coat of White-Out can't help....
-
Lilo is over a year old now and no chipping whatsoever... maybe they are made of different materials??? My leaf is a soft flexible but tough rubber.
-
Clover doesn't have chipping. Probobly because I don't have a leaf handy enough. But I've also got my finger ;D Thoygh you can't give your finger to them if they win. ;D

You guys have special pleos...all four of mine have cavities in every tooth. It's really, really tiresome. :P
I used a gold pen and gave Macon gold fillings, but now the pen is empty and I still have three pleos with dental needs. Was planning to fix them up with testors paint when I get a little cash, but it sounds like white-out might do the trick. If only ours wasn't so clumpy....gotta practice a little with it. Not taking any chances with a brush covered in white paint in a very small mouth!
-
Testor's paint works great! takes two coats, but it will last for a very long time. Just make sure you apply it very carefully and keep a little damp swab to clean off any paint that might get on the lips of your pleo. Do pleos have lips? ;D
-
Well I remember Pleoguy 101 fixed Rocky's teeth with that stuff and he said it was great :)
Lol, rubber lips I guess. ;D

Yeah . Just found out about this last week
Wonder if that free postage that innvolabs is offering this month is valid for training leafs? Probably not but it might be worth a try.
Thanks again everyone
