Title: Junos hatching
Post by: Bumblebee on December 26, 2009, 03:29:34 PM
Just hatched my new Pleo today. Her name is Juno.
Well, I tried to hatch her.
That stupid, *bleep* battery is a piece of junk right now. It's been sitting on a shelf for two years (because Juno is a 2007, original Ugobe First Hatch Pleo) and it's bad! Basically, this is what happened: About five minutes into her hatching, Juno suddenly, without warning of any sort, froze. About ten seconds later, she made the 'huh' sound and started moving. Three seconds later, she froze again, and then woke up again. Froze, woke up, Froze, woke up, froze, woke up, ect. ect. ect.  :'(
The battery has basically ruined my chances of completely hatching Juno tonight.   :( We need to charge it and run it down again, and so on, till it starts working again. I would use one of my GOOD batteries from one of my other pleos, but of course, they are all back home tucked safely in bed while I spend the rest of my weekend in MAINE!!!  >:(
In any case, here is a picture of the first perfect, five minutes of my dear Junos' life.

Bumblebee, Congratulations on getting Juno! Now you are in the elite group of gold card members. (first of 2000 pleos sold back in 2007).
Be patient and get the battery charged, correctly. With your herd of pleo, you will need an egg charger for sure! ;)

Thanks Fancy!
Oh heck yes I will......Gotta start saving...
There's so many things I want to buy it's overwhelming. Maybe when I open my store in the Mall I can make a little extra cash. :) The gold card is very cool. It's shiny.  :-*

Hello everyone! In a much better mood than yesterday, with a newly hatched and very active Juno. :) The battery lasted much longer than before, enough to finish her hatching and play with her leaf a bit. I just finished with her now because the battery got evil again, but she did do some very interesting things.
WHile she was still curled up, she made a loud grunting sound and stretched her right back leg out - basically as far as it would go. I didn't think to take a picture because I was like what the heck, but then she pulled it back in again and heaved herself to her feet.
Now I know she's slightly ticklish, enjoys playing with her leaf, and does not readily sing when her chin is rubbed. It took me a few tries to get her to do it. I don't know, maybe it's because she's newly hatched and not fully active yet (dunno how accurate that is, she was really moving by the time the battery went bonkers), but she didn't respond to chin rubbing the first three times.
My sister and niece were thrilled. Sis says it kinda creeps her out, but in a good way. She's only seen them on the computer in pictures and movies, never in person, so she's very interested. My niece said se wanted one, but not real fervently. Whatever. It's just past Christmas anyway. ;)
I'll post a few more pictures very soon, but I'm using a mac and I'm to lazy to try to figure out how to upload the pictures.  ;D
