It's actually a flash-based interactive ad.  The image doesn't quite do it justice.  It's being run by Google.  I saw it next to that article on the Zhu-Zhu.

i saw an add in my paper's tv guide supplement, a review for pleo;

Pleo £199.95
Come on, this animatronic, baby dinosaur has to be the cutest thing you've ever seen. Yet it's also stunningly hi-tech. Charge it up and, without any help from a controller, it'll explore it's environment, move organically, interact with you, develop it's own personality and even give itself the sweetest little scratch. All you have to do is charge it's battery, and that's it - although you can, if you so fancy, download programmes for him from a computer, but if i were you, i'd put his name down for a good school first. It is never too early.

time (to find out how to work it) - 5 minutes
Friendliness - he'll sit on your lap!

They have a few Pleo ads (without pics sadly) on my favorite virtual pet site (called "Exhibited"), but they also have quite a few D-Rex and KOTA ads there.   :-\

Sorry, but i found the graphic on the ads very cheap :( i can't understand why they didn't makenew photos, videos and more to relaunch Pleo. Ok it isn't new for us but a bunch of new photos and videos is a must for every product :'(

*Crosses arms in a very bad-tempered way* Can you really complain, when Pleo almost went extinct? At least they're doing something. They pictures are still adorable, even if they're not absolutely perfect the way you want them. They show a sweet little dinosaur with a spark in it's blue eyes, and they make most sane people curious. That's enough. Maybe in the future they'll make some brand new never seen before ones, but for now, they barely have any business with the economy so it's the best they can do.
Not long ago I did see an add for google, where it was typing in different random things. Lo and Behold, as I watched it out of the corner of my eye I saw it type in the word 'pleo'.
Me and my mom sat there for ten minutes trying to get the same ad to play again, but it never did. XD
Honestly, I think they should hire InmemoryofRomeo to make them ads. ( ;) ) She's about the best person for that around here, and when I take a look at her stuff and then at my pathetic little excuses for Paint work, I laugh. Hard.

I haven't seen much of your work, but I am sure it is good :) You should have seen some of my first attempts at paint work :D I think I still have it somewhere, I'll try and dig it up, it's quite a few years old :P

Mine are terrible....they're all in the recycle bin. Today I made one that actually looked reasonably good....
But then again, I had to do no shading, shadows, or any of that other cool stuff that completely escapes me. XD
