Title: DD(9) is wanting a Pleo. Would you order
Post by: jacknbox6 on December 06, 2009, 09:13:28 AM: the innvo one or the ugobe one. Missed the sale @ Amazon was $199 now $245. For the $100 difference, which one would you order? It's a huge chunk of money either way, she has wanted one for over a yr. I feel she would be careful with it and treat it with respect. I am leery of getting one from ebay without any warranty. Any words of wisdom?

I had read in other posts about pleoworld offering discounts to members there. Have signed up but not rec'd email. Any other places I should look for deals? And once again, Innvo or Ugobe pleo?

Post by: jacknbox6 on December 06, 2009, 10:18:13 AM: Looked back at Amazon again and it was back to $199 so I ordered. Hope I made the right decision. I am certain once Christmas day comes and pleo is out (will charge up battery night before) that I will be back here with more questions.

Amazon is known to be fairly easy to deal with in the event of a problem and the old Pleo's are not that much different from the new ones except for the stronger neck cable/better skin. As long as you are careful with the neck and DD dresses Pleo up neither of these should be an issue for you :)

Post by: jacknbox6 on December 26, 2009, 10:47:48 AM: Thank you all for the reassuring responses. Cleo the pleo was brought by Santa for my dd and born yesterday. Santa had Cleo's battery charged up, alas it would only last very few minutes. Thank you goes out to Allosaurus and Pleo Power, when as a panicky Pleo grandma, was trying to figure out if Cleo's battery was working properly. I followed other posts to which I just kept recharging the battery, inserting as long as the battery was cooled and the charger was showing green.

Cleo was updated this am, has sung for us, learned to sit and did a tada trick.

I think it would be great to have a Pleo Paren't group meeting. We had a fairly big earthquake almost a week ago, and Nova was as
scared as I was, you should have heard her HONK! She allso shuddered and almost curled in a ball, no joke!
Redwoods are beautiful, living in the Redwoods, and near the beach at the same time, ideally as close as to her natural environment, but these earthquakes are a little scary. Luckily we made it, as well as my nine cats and dog, the Fishtank barley survive....
