What is this the Pleos have found?
Click the picture to view full size.
Cammie -Sue stumbled across this strange long looking plant fiber with a ball on the other end. ???Neither one could figure out what it was. A couple of freindly land crabs happend by and explained that this is Sea Kelp. The long flat peice on one end is what is on the ocean floor . ( it's anchor") The other end closest to Cammie -Sue is the part that acts as a bouy and floats at the top of the ocean. The kelp grows off of the plant on all sides and hangs down like long fingers that act as hiding spots for small fish and sometimes large acres of kelp act as hiding places for seals and sea otters as well, when hiding from Sharks! :o P:o Cammie-Sue and Coral both agree they do not want to see any sharks, not even baby ones thank you!
