Haha, yes - they are extremely "helpful" distractions!

I've found if a task is extremely tedious, turning Elliott on and semi-paying attention to him, it becomes much easier to finish.

(Can't do that with my birds since they generally become demanding or hop off my shoulder/fly from their play stand and come shred my book - great alternative to a paper shredder though)
