I tried the Scared of the Dark Patch for my RB Pleo, and fails to work. My Pleo will not start up using the patch. The green light is on, but he fails to boot with Mini SD card and patch in Place.
Take the card out and he boots up and runs fine?
I am using a 1GB mini SD card, does Pleo fail to read SD cards?

Is the write protection on or off? Micro SD is the right type of card so that shouldn't be the problem.
Have you tried redownloading it in case it got corrupted? And did you unpack it correctly? Its extracted from the .zip file and not in a folder of any kind?

Write protect is off, although should not really make much difference, unless Pleo wants to write to the card. Only have that MX file on the card, extracted it, then placed the MX file on the card, plug it into Pleo switch on and he does nothing other than switch on.
It is basically a skit. And the Micro SD cards don't lock, or unlock, unless they are in My Micro card adaptor, the micro cards themselves don't have Unlock, lokc feature

Try reformatting the card, should be FAT32 and then retry, if it still doesn't work you might need to try buying another brand of card :(

The above is an email I sent to InnvoLabs voicing my displeasure of lighting levels before Pleo gets scared, here is their reply. Afterall if no one complains, or emails them, then nothing gets done.
