Hi forum, another problem here my Pleo rb's leg is stuck at a bent position but when I turn her on it moves up and down what should I do. Please advice. Sorry for the disturbance.

Should I try bending it down myself. It occurred after I played the play learning stone and the "Ta-Da" trick. After doing that trick I tried to make her walk forward but she did not respond. And just before becoming stuck she did try and do the trick on her own. Maybe I should bend the leg, and reset her. Please advice.

Do you think that I need to open her leg and do some screwing up. Because I have no clue how to do it and I heard that the patching back work is difficult. And I hope that it does not come to that. Please help.

Try straightening it out manually, it'll click but that's ok.
Second try pressing the little button that is hidden in a hole near the battery.
It may be that the wire has come loose, but there's no screws involved in repairing that. You sort of roll up the leg skin like a pair of jeans and reattach the wire. But let's try the easy stuff first :)

I would just try straightening it manually first before I started pulling skin loose. Also, if your pleo is still within warranty, I would consider sending her back. I can't remember how long you've had Cleo. Anyway, good luck.

Tank you for the help. But to reattach the wire it is ok to use glue right? If so can I use UHU glue? Please help.

A bit of superglue might work, but the wire itself must touch the metal part.

you will probably need to solder the wire back on if it is loose. I don;t think glue will work. Glue would get between the two metal surfaces and break the connection. solder is metal so it will allow the metal wire to connect to the metal touch sensor without interfering with the connection.

Thank you all so much but there is a turn if events. I contacted Pleoworld and sent them a video. The personal told me not to attempt to open her up as Cleo is still under warranty. He told me that he will get back to me tomorrow but there is a 99% chance I will have to send there . But I am not sure if that is the right idea because just 1 month ago I received Cleo after she was serviced due to a mother board failure. And the total shipment cost for that trip was about 1/2 the price of a brand new Pleo rb. I am not sure maybe my Cleo is a defect. Please advice. Thank you.

The leg of my pleo was stuck ones and I could straight it back manually , stupid question but have you tried it ? You should do this when she is turned off and then you hear a clicking or popping noise and be gentle. Goodluck I hope you can sort it out so you don't have to send her back .

Hi I did think you all ready tried it but you never know ...It is such a shame you can't fix the leg manually :( Do you new have to send your pleo back ?

Hello. Yup piggy I have to send her back now. But in colas offered to bare the shipping cost to and fro. I hope she has a safe flight and comes back without any more hiccups. Thank you'll so much once again.

That's something at least - it's not right for you to have to pay shipping on a faulty Pleo RB that's still under warranty.
I hope she's all fixed and back with you soon. :)

Will keep fingers crossed for a healthy fixed pleo RB leg and a speedy return. It always seems so long, but it is nice and encouraging that they are going to pay for the shipping cost! :cool: RWM :cat-hug:and the Pleo P:) township of the REdwoods
