Hi, Everyone! I hope this is the right place to post this but I have a mystery that I can't figure out. Both of my Ugobes are running the original 1.0 operating system but they behave differently when their batteries die. Ugobe curls up and snores once. Bleu freezes in odd positions and restarts herself with the "huh?" sound for about five times before freezing for the final time still in an odd position. Anyone know why this could be? Is her battery starting to show its age so that she's not getting time enough to go into a nice clean sleep position?

Do you use different batteries for each of them? Both of my Ugobes curl up when they're low on charge like Ugobe does, but I've never seen either respond like Bleu does. I'm guessing if you are using different batteries, it would just be caused by her battery getting older and starting to fail. Try swapping their batteries and to check if now Bleu will curl up and Ugobe will restart. If you're using the same battery for both, I'm not really sure what could be causing the issue, maybe try cleaning Bleu's contacts.

Sounds like Bleu is just not quite sure if that battery is really dead, could be the battery sensor playing up a little or the battery.

At Aibo7M3: yes. I'm using separate batteries for both of them. I'll see what happens if I switch the two batteries around and see if Bleu suddenly curls up and Ugobe does the freezing bit.
At IMR: Who knows? That battery might actually be Ugobe's but with two egg battery-chargers and two egg batteries, there may have been some switching around involved. They just died yesterday within moments of one another and that was when I noticed how they were behaving. I still have a lot of time out of them so I'm not terribly worried, just curious about why this might be happening. I'll have to post the result of this experiment later.

Yeah I wouldn't be concerned over it, a few of my batteries cause that too, especially the old green ones.

My ugobe just freezes when the battery is empty :D

They usually do. ;)

I switched Bleu's and Ugobe's batteries after starting this topic. Their batteries haven't died yet so I'm not sure what's going to happen.

Okay. Results are in. Switching the batteries didn't seem to matter. Bleu still froze in an odd position and Ugobe still curled up and snored. *Shrug* It must be some odd software quirk.
