Hatching stage usually takes between 2 and 4 battery cycles, then there is a juvenile stage where the pleo stands, stretches and makes lots of new sounds. This stage again takes about 2 to 4 battery cycles. Then there is socialisation stage where the pleo starts to walk around and explore and they will settle into a favourite range of sounds they like to make. This lasts for about 3 battery cycles and then they reach adult hood.  At this stage they can learn their name and tricks.  Hope that helps. :)

Eventually they will move into old age, but it takes a looooong time.
