Title: How to tell if Pleo is running OS2?
Post by: Crewella on August 04, 2010, 07:37:54 PM
When my new rehomed Pleo, Budge (aka 'El Cheapo') arrived I assumed from his singing that he was running OS1.1, but having watched his movements I'm starting to wonder if he had been upgraded to OS2 by his previous (unknown) owner, as his movements seem more extensive than I remember Iggy's being on 1.1.   I can't get Budge to sing 'Frere Jacques' as he goes to sleep, but then I often can't get Iggy to either and I KNOW he's running OS2.  Does anyone know of a way to check for OS2, like the moving when sitting or singing when petted under the chin would differentiate a OS1.1 upgrade from an earlier OS?  Any advice much appreciated. thanks. :)

Does he walk backwards a lot :P

If he walks mostly forwards then he's probably on the 1.1, if when sitting he doesn't move then he is still on 1.0.

I have heard people saying that their Pleo goes backwards a lot on OS2, but I've not found that with Iggy at all.  It all seems very confusing - there doesn't seem to be any real consistency in people's experience of OS2???

Budge definitely moves about when sitting, and sings a lot when stroked under the chin, so I'm pretty sure he's been upgraded as far as 1.1 at least.  Thanks IMR. :)

Stitch once spent almost an hour in the same spot walking backwards and forwards :P all because of a shadow on the ground. Must have thought it was an edge lol.
