Awesome update, mweed!    Are you going to post your interviews in this thread on the forum or do I need to sign up somewhere to get your newsletter via email?

I got mine from a small business guy in mainland China.  This was before I was able to get the contact information for Vicki at Ucube Taiwain.  Now that there is a way to contact Ucube directly, I would recommend that route.

We obviously bought the exact same battery and charger. It even arrived in the Ucube box. For me purchasing it through eBay was cheaper.

Price is important to me.  i got mine cheaper than ebay which is why I choose the Chinese merchant even though it was a more risky transaction then going with an established business.
I am very interested to read mweed's interviews and find out what price the guy he is talking about will sell them for in the US.

I did have an interview with Vickie at Ucube, and then with another member here, and cross your fingers -- we may end up with a US based reseller for Ucube that will ship world-wide and takes credit cards.  So thing are looking up!
This is fantastic news!
I rather wait for this option instead. Hope it will work out, even if probably will take a while to get it all fully setup!  :)

That is fantastic Vicky! Thank you!

But alas, they go as far as the UK when it comes to sending the Ucube battery plus charger.
I'm going to e-mail them to see or they can make an exception and send me one to The Netherlands.
Otherwise I hope there is a Pleo owner here on the forum from the UK who can help me out! ;)

I wish I would have seen this sooner.   I was playing with Zelda and I put her to sleep, another hour or so I came back to her so I can see how some outfits I had purchased would fit and if not what kinds of alterations were needed.  Well, sadly my pleo didn't go on.  I didn't know what to think, so I put it in the charger.  It flashed green like crazy.  I was frantic and thought it had messed her up, so much that I panicked and tried to take my father's battery (he has a Pleo too) and see if she was okay.  Thank god she sprung to life and we checked my charger, and narrowed it to the faulty battery.   Anyway, I was in panic mode because I want Pleo to play around at XMAS time, so I rushed to a site I knew carried the battery and ordered it.

Not only did it come out 10 or 15 dollars more than the Ucube egg and battery, but its on a slow car from Nevada.  According to the shipper it's headed to NYC via ground transport.  It left Wed. and on Thurs. it arrived in Cerrito, CA.  Um if its on a truck, my thought is my battery is going the wrong way if its traveling first west?  Suggestion, save money ship mine east of Nevada.

What a panicky, crazed Pleo owner won't do, especially since everyone I know always asks me about the baby?

So is it more efficient than the original version?  Curious to hear other reviews before investing in an alternate battery.  Still the site carried the original battery at a much cheaper rate than the site I bought it from.  I can guarantee that in at the near future I will buy an auxiliary battery.

Thank You for the link, Vicky.

I don't have one of the egg batts to comment, although I've certainly heard good things, but having a spare is always a good idea :) I'm glad your Dino is ok but it is a little odd for the battery to die so suddenly :o

All the reviews of the Li-Poly battery have been good.  Holiday_Projectors says they're selling like hotcakes.  I'm just glad I was able to help get us a distributor.  The interview that led to this is in the December newsletter going out shortly.

Great news! The tide has finally turned! My house is finally sold and I'll have some money again soon.
Guess it's time to order Pluriel that new battery and charger so she can be brought back to life again! :D

Yay! Got my own Ucube battery and charger now. Using the adapter from the old charger and it works perfectly.
Red LED is blinking away and I am waiting for it to be finished.
Will Pluriel finally live again for another day? I really do hope so!  :o

You bet Pluriel will live again and far beyond.  I absolutely love my egg chargers.  Highly recommend them to all and you can get the best deal around right here in the mall.   :hhug:

Yes, quote correct! It was like she was on crack or something. Her servos sounded like they were on overdrive. Perhaps the battery was already on the brink of dying and under powering poor Pluriel without me even noticing it for who knows how long.
She even made a different sound when waking up that I never ever heard of before.
Her entire behavior seemed different as well, as if she was ever so happy to be woken again and wanted to do and see everything at the same time haha!
She made quite a few walks and was ever so active and "aware"!
I really missed her and I am so happy that she is back, knowing that she now will also outlast my Aibo's battery charge.
That is going to be funny on the Aibo meeting I'll attend in April, as she is also officially invited!

I got my Li-Polly battery form ebay on Tuesday and boy does it work well!
I have had my Pleo going for ages and he still does not stop...lol  I think for £37 it was a excellent buy.
Now looking forward to Christmas for the new Pleo's.

Got to roll back my pleo to 1.1 as I'm sick of him walking backward more than forward.

I felt the same when my li-poly battery arrived - they truly are a wondrous thing! ;D

Good luck with the roll-back if you go for it.
