Walking Pleo
« on: September 21, 2009, 05:50:00 AM »

Hi!
I bought a Pleo for the kids on Saturday. We have played a lot and we really enjoying the time we spent with Pleo.

My only question so far is, why doesn't Pleo walk? I mean to go from the kitchen to the bedroom. It seems to be very restrictive in his walking. Two steps front , two steps back. I would love to see Pleo walking alone in the flat! :)

I have used both LifeOS1.0 and LifeOS 1.1

Thanx in advance!

Give it time Pleo can be quite a little explorer, you'll be amazed at the places these lttle dinos get to :) if you want to try and encourage Pleo to walk try touching both his front shoulders (where the touch sensors are) and then letting go he/she should take this as a hint to have a walk. Welcome to the community by the way good to see another fresh face :)
Just to clarify, Pleo might not be to active at a young age especially he's/she's enjoying lots of petting and attention :p

Spoilt Pleo's have a habit of becoming too lazy to go and forage for their own dinner ;)

If you ignore Pleo for a while (he/she may get rather upset at first though) they will eventually wander off on their own.

Likewise as suggested above if you hold the two front leg sensors for a couple of seconds you will put Pleo into explore mode :)

Just give your pleo a chance :) Usually the first two stages aren't very active ones. Your pleo should start exploring a little more soon. One way to put a pleo into explore mode is touching the sensors on his front legs at the same time (That makes sense, right?). Congrats on getting your pleo, btw, does he have a name yet?  :D

Thanx a lot for the replies.
Unfortunately my daughter called it Pleo (I call it turrican - a favorite Amiga game hero)...not a very unique name hahahahahaha
Sorry for the silly question but where exactly are the front leg sensors? <the answer: In the front legs is over rulled :))
