Available AIBO's? Anywhere? Anyone ?
« on: September 12, 2009, 09:50:01 AM »

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced AIBO's for sale or resale in excellent condition.

I'm looking to program different robots to interface through IR ports or WIFI.  :)

I have an iSobot (Izzy), a Robopet (Rusty), a Robosapien (Robby) and of course Stoney my Pleo.
I really feel an Aibo is required to complete the experiment of this level of robotics.  ;)

ps I'm not what you'd call rich so a real bargain for a quality Aibo is what I'm looking for.
They don't seem to be out there?  ???

Unfortunately when it comes to Aibos their price is what separates them amongst the rest. I would tell you to check Ebay first and Craigslist. Nippondeals.com has good package deals, too!

Your best bet for a reasonably priced and safe buy is either aiboworld or aibolife, the members generally sell the bots at reasonable prices. Nippon deals is good on somethings but some prices are insane, also when making a buy from them make sure they send you proper tracking details etc as they've messed around a couple of people on the AW forums.

Thanks so much for the sites that you referred me to.  :)

Unfortunately the sell for $780 to $850 US as a minimum.  >:D

I'm looking more for $300 as a maximum and I can't go above that.  :'(

I think a private sale with someone who has 2-3 and really doesn't use them is more likely.   :P
I guess  I'm just daydreaming and that it can't happen.  ;)

if you were wanting to really experiment then a $300 price limit for something like an ers7 robot is definitly too low, but then again you may find a 210 at that price but if you do you would be lucky. saying that i got my ers7 m3 for £575 so you never know. TBH stay away from ripoff deals they are causing some aibo owners/buyers problems and are very over priced. Your best bet is to have a look out on aiboworld or aibo-life.
