You really should have put all your questions into one post. So I will answer them all here.
My favourite IPod is by far the touch. (I have had a shuffle, nano and touch) However if you only want it to listen to music then just buy a shuffle

I have an IPod touch, it does not have a camera, only the IPhone has a camera, and remember that you pay an extra $500 (in Australia) for the IPhone which means an extra $500 to have a camera and to make phone calls

IMHO it is not worth the extra money, but that's up to the user. The touch by itself has better battery life than the phone. Oh and the IPhone only has a 2mp camera, even my old mobile had a 3mp

so its not as good as it could be. I love my touch and use it daily, the picture quality is excellent, it plays movies really well and is a nice little hand held gaming platform. It does not have an expandable memory though so be sure you buy one that suits the size of your cd collection
