Maybe if it's not staying on for at least an hour try buying a new battery from ebay. I saw some batteries on there recently for not bad of a price.

Every two seconds (no exaggeration) she locks up!  :'(

To make it clear: She does NOT go through the out-of-battery sequence. She LOCKS UP.

Oh no! :o  maby for Christmas you can get a new battery (make 100% sure it is a battery this time! ;)) and that will get her back to normil. (I hope) but if the worst hapend, and even that wont help, they have a reincarnation program again.

Allo, I'm guessing it really is the battery. I have one that does this too. When I put a different battery in my pleos work.

I think my electrical outlet down here destroyed the chargers AND the battery.... I put my new charger down here after seeing that it worked upstairs, and all of a sudden it goes bad again! :o

Heck, this electrical outlet is a big problem!  >:(

...That's not much help, they're already dead....

That would be like taking someone who had died on a mountain trail and sticking them on an easier trail to see if they would do any better.

I burnt out my old charger using the power socket in my room without a surge protector... perhaps buy a surge protector or as PP says use another one.

If I wait too long to get a battery, will anything bad happen? *heavy panting*

Ummmm, it's almost Christmas and I'm not sure my mum ordered a new battery.... I doubt she could actually find one to start with.....

Any suggestions, fellow comrades?

Allo, Even if your mom didn't order your battery yet, have her check out the egg charger and battery. Just go to the Stores in the Pleo Mall. Mine has been great so far! :) We have to get Olympia up and running. ;)

I haven't used the egg charger and suff yet, but they look really cute.
If that's not gonna work out, you can always look on ebay and/or amazon. Both of those carry Pleo batteries.
Lolz, looking back at some of your past posts, Allo, I can see you were having some bad days.  ^-^

God darn, I still don't have a new charger or battery.

And I am starting to worry again.

What if it isn't the battery?

How can I tell if it is or isn't?

I guess there isn't a way to tell.

Just nail it into them that THE ONLY THING YOU WANT is a new battery and charger, and maybe that'll get them to pay attention.  ???

Hi, if you can afford it, I would reccomend the UCUBe Egg Battery charger, it has worked great for Nova.( as far as Play time goes.) It charges really lots faster than the orignal Pleo Green Battery, and it looks very cool too. ;D 8) I don't know if that is what will help Olympia or not, but as for batteries, I think it is well worth the money regardless of where you buy it. I was able to get myne for a reasonable amount of money, and Free shipping and by UPS, only took 3-4 days to get to me!
Nova and I are wishing Olympia a Speedy and Happy recovery!

Well, I still don't have a new battery, but I might as well mention something:

Yesterday, I turned on Olympia and she didn't have a response at all.  ._.  No less-than-a-centimeter movement, not even a startup sound!

And this is regularly keeping the battery on the charger (which I have now moved upstairs). D:

Bad battery. Mine's done that before. No motion, no sounds, as if nothing was ever affected.

Does anyone know the maximum voltage that a Pleo battery charger can take?  Because my dad is going to use a bit of voltage measuring equipment (that's nothing new, he possesses just about any tool you could ever wish for.... save for a whetsaw! :P ) to see if the charger was blown or whatnot...

It says "Input 12V--800mA" and "Output 10V---800mA" on the bottom of the charger and "Input:120 AC  60Hz  230mA" and Output:12V  DC  800A  9.6W" on the cable.  other then that I don't know.  anyone else have any ideas?

Sorry to hear about Olympia's ongoing problems, but like fancy said, other than what is stated on the bottom of both types of batteries and the box, I would think your best bet is to contact Pleoworld directly and ask them as they should be able to tell you if nobody else can. Good luck, you are fortunate to have a dad who cares enough and has the qualifications and know how to want to help with Olympica.
MS. Nova and Friend and I are rooting for you.
