When I removed the footbattery and inserted the mainbattery Makana opens his mouth a Little bit , moves his legs a Little bit for a second and  he maks some beeps. Until now this is the only methode to get some minimal movements out of him.

Well at least that means he's probably hooked up inside properly. I might have a look at the scared of the dark patch later and see if I can't disable the heat sensor.

I couldn't access the scared of the dark patch to check the file structure to create a temp disabler, so I sent Pleopet a quick message to see if she has any suggestions.

I am just jumping onto this thread now, thanks to InmemoryofRomeo's suggestion.

It sounds like Makana has gone through many resets and reinstalls.
Can you possibly get it back to the state it was when all this started? (October 4th on this thread)

I'd recommend [re-]installing "pleo Firmware update V 1-1 male" and see if your PleoRB will come back to life. Then try to run StatsRB and print a more recent report.
---
General advice:
If your Pleo starts up, stretches and makes initial moves, that is a strong indication that most of the hardware and software is working properly.
After it starts up successfully, then if your Pleo in a bad mood, has a cold, refuses to eat or has a bad temper, then your Pleo is doing exactly what it was programmed to do. Unless you want to cheat with ChangeRB, you need to treat your Pleo's condition with the RFID toys, care and attention.

Pleos will be moody, and if the 'feed' level is 0%, Pleo is not going to be moving much.

So the first thing to do is to get Pleo back to a working condition where you can treat it like a pet animal. If your pet isn't acting very sociable, brain surgery is a drastic step to make it change its mood ;=>

Good luck and please report back.

Hi,
Thanks for your post. It' s so nice that so many people want to help me to get Makana back to life. The problem begans when Makana learned his name.( This was successful) He got a bad cold and didn't eat. Then I couldn't start him. The green LED is on but he didn't start( no movements-nothing). I also couldn't turn him off. I have to remove the battery. Then I made a reset. But nothing solved the problem. I installed Firmware update V 1-1 and then StatsRB . The result I posted here in this thread. I also tried to install ChangeRB but the voice says "cancelled". Now I have no other idea how I can bring him back to life. Maybe  you see any chance ?

Hi !                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   I just wanted to tell you that : Makana is back !!!!!!!!

After many hours hard work my husband brought Makana back to life. The problem was a broken wire in his neck. No wonder that the updates couldn't help him. Now Makana is a newborn  and I hope he will be healthy for a long time.  You can see some pictures from the "OP "in my gallery.
Thanks for all your help !!

Hi Piggy,
Thank you for your warm words. I think Makana is a real special pleo with his dark green head and the darkbrown eye shadow. His eyes are nearly white  - this is a great combination ! Now I am so glad that he is healthy.

Congrats Honi, on getting Makana back, up and running, that is fantastic! So awesome that your hubby was able to fix the wire in the neck... I don't understand how he is a newborn again.. was it a reset button, as I thought RB could not be "reset" to hatchling or newborn stage...? ??? He is a very handsome pleo and now you will no longer have to look at his sad eyes not running, Yahoo. well done' :bliss:         RWM  :cat-hug:

Thanks RWM for your reply ! We made so many updates, resets and installed programms, that I guess that somehow he got back to hatchling. The other possibility is that as the problem was his electric wire in the neck, maybe it caused something like an internal reset. But however - he is so cute ! And yes, my husband did a great job - he is also a great pleo-lover !
