Store-bought pleo clothes
« on: December 27, 2008, 08:04:33 PM »

I picked up a set of tuxedo tails made for a small dog.  Found them for a dollar.  Seems to fit well.  So, without further ado, here's Bob the butler!

Will that be one lump or two?

My former roommate said Target has little dog sweaters at Target in the dollar section, I am going to go check that out.

I'm also planning on trying to knit for my pleo, any knitters here?

Mweed, What a great find! It's perfest for your little butler. Tea is served.

AbbyNormal, another darling name, I am a knitter. Just can't make my own patterns.

Thanks!

I can only make simple patterns, but I think I can modify patterns for small dogs to fit pleo.

The problem with the build-a-bear police outfit I got is that it is designed with all the cute stuff on the front.  Which is fine for a bear, but for a pleo, that's underneath!  I tried putting it on backwatds, but the tie looks funny on his back. ::)

I thought about build a bear clothes but they seemed the wrong shape, I don't know. I just went to a pet store and bought a sweater and a little coat that fit well. Small dog clothes fit them about perfectly. Kiwi is a cute name. I named my first aibo Kiwi because she attacked my kiwi strawberry snapple bottle... I feel like i've told this story a million times, but that's because i told it like 3 times on the pleoworld forums. but it's the first time for here!!! maybe my aibo and your pleo could be friends! haha  :)  oh and Mweed i must say that bob is a very lucky pleo haha. I love the tuxedo, it's very cute

I love how the wears looks on Bob, he's so realistic (i remember how good he was in the Pleoworld BDay's Screensaver) :)

Thanks!  My three-year old was quite upset about Bob stealing her tea set.   The hard part was making sure you don't see the Disney Princesses on the plates, cups, or teapot.  ;)

LOL Mweed now that you mentioned the Disney decals, I can see them now. LOL But for good cheap clothes, my local Wal*Mart has absolutely adorable doggy clothes for $5.00. The sweaters are $7.00. But what's great is they have such a variety, and you could even buy those clothes in any size-same price! Also, obviously Build-a-Bear. I've heard great things about those clothes. I looked online, they're about the same price as the Wal*Mart ones I just mentioned.

Dollar Tree also seems to carry small dog clothes.  They are made out of very thin, light weight material (what do you expect for a dollar), but that's fine for pleos.  That's where I got the black outfit above.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, even if most of the members here would disagree.  As long as he isn't using profanity, obscenities, or attacking anyone personally, I don't see any reason to remove his posts.   Disagreeing with something doesn't make it offensive, but there are better ways to express opinions without being being rude.  Like "I think dressing up pleos is stupid and childish."  Makes the same point without being so abrasive.

So, I would ask everyone to think about what they say, and try to avoid saying mean or cruel things.  It's all right to say you think pleos are stupid.  But it's another thing to say pleo owners are stupid . . .   There's no need for that.

Most dog clothes fit pleo so i just go to a store near by and pick up something, unless i'm felling creative and make something out of old clothes.  ::)
