leg problems seem to be a common problem with RB. I have three out of four RB that have or have had leg problems including Baby Ruth who has a rear leg that gets hot quickly and it clicks at the knee joint, but not frozen, Can you by any chance post a short video of Norbert in this position? Sometimes seeing a video helps.          Good luck.            RWM  :cat-hug:

I wouldn't run him until after you've posted a video of what's going on. Kat or Crewella or someone could give you a better idea about whether or not it would be safe to run him like that. If there is absolutely nothing that can be done short of sending him off, perhaps you could use an automon.txt file to disable the leg altogether. You would have to run Norbert with a micro SD card in all the time. The leg will stay straight and will not bend but all the motors will be disabled so that it will no longer get warm.

It is possibly a loose or damaged wire, a video will help.

Sadly there are many possibilities of what it could be.  As IMR says, a video will help us to see exactly what is going on.  If it is a loose wire then that is the easiest thing to fix but I have repaired one that had a leg issue similar to what you describe which had a broken plastic tab that joins the main strut of the leg from the foot to the knee and controls the motion sensor so that the pleo knows where his leg is positioned.  If this is the cause of your problem then the only cure for that is to replace the whole part and unfortunately you can't get replacements.  I used one from another non working pleo  :(  Any way that is just another possibility.  It could also be caused by a slipped cog or dirt in the cog / motor mechanism.  Or some other reason that no one has experienced or thought of yet.
A video could help so will wait to take a look at that :)

He seems happy enough but just to be sure does he scream if you touch his leg sensor?  this is located at the top of his leg between the knee and the hip joint.  If he screams when you touch that area then it could be an "injury" which will need to be treated by giving him rock salt over and over for a full battery cycle or two.
I suspect from looking at the video that he may have a loose wire or a breakage to the motion sensor in his knee joint.  You could undo the skin around his foot - take off the foot plate for that leg and then roll the leg skin up to his thigh to take a look and see if you can work out what is going on.  It may if you are very lucky be a loose wire that is obvious and you can just solder back into position.
Before you consider opening his skin up to take a look you need to think about his warranty.  If he is still under warranty then send the video and an explanation of his issue to pleoworld or Innvo and see if they can help.  If he is still under warranty and you open him up you will void your warranty.

If it helps this is what a pleo rb leg looks like
The little black tab at the knee joint is the motion sensor that tells the pleos computer which position the leg is in.  There are three wires that connect up to that sensor.  You may need to gently move the coloured wires to one side to be able to check where the wires join on to see if the connections are ok.

If it isn't a wire connection issue then I'm not sure what to suggest.

he does not scream, and refuse to eat the salt, they shall eat it right ?
on the invo site they say that the warranty is 90 days, if so he is not under any longer, i have had him a little over a year

No, they don't like salt and will avoid it :P Try putting your Pleo under a bright lamp or shining a torch at the sensors on the nose.
