I just bought this Pleo on eBay for my step-daughter, I know its not an RB but I still think she will love it, I couldn't afford to buy a new RB.

I can't wait to see her face when she undoes the wrapping I will put on the box. me and her dad will have to explain to her that it is not really a toy, more like a pet and she must be careful with it and raise it like a real pet. She is 8 yrs old so she is pretty careful.

I'm so excited now.

I'm sure she'll love it Don't forget you will most likely need a new battery too, the original batteries are very very old and almost all of them have problems now.

 Congratulations and IMR is correct, almost all Ugobe batteries are long gone dead and Pleo will need a new battery, called the Ucube egg battery, I sell them here on the forums but since you live in Australia, it may be cheaper to buy them direct from Taiwan. If wanting to know the cost I charge, which includes a discount for forum members, just give me a PM. I also give a free item for pleo to wear with each battery sold.

            I think it is a good idea the way you plan to tell her to teach it like a pet, that will teach not only responsibility but also keep Pleo running longer with out any problems. Be sure to post photos or video when your daughter opens it.Is pleo a special present such as for a birthday or just a nice present because she will like it? What a great gift!           RWM
