Do Kookaburras make good pets? They are beautiful!

No, they don't make good pets, they have very specialized diets of snakes, insects and lizards so are hard to feed in captivity although they do take to it well if the appropriate diet can be provided. But they are incredibly tame in the wild I have have coaxed them onto my shoulders many times with a tempting piece of meat :) Kookaburras are probably our most loved of birds here, unlike Cockatoos and other large parrots which eat crops, Kookies only eat pests so they are never harassed by people and as a result are friendly birds :)

Lol see we are good at keeping on topic ;)

I was at the San Francisco Zoo on Saturday and took a picture of some Kookaburras, but not as nice as yours. ;)

My pluriel also walks in any direction she feels like.
She is not bound to always walking right.
It's just pretty much where she feels like going really.

Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree,
Merry merry king of the bush is he,
Laugh Kookaburra laugh kookaburra,
Gay your life must be.

Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree,
Watching the news on Channel three,
Laugh, Kookaburra laugh,
Kookaburra's watching green Gumby :P

(Gumby is a really really old cartoon made from this really lame plasticine figurine :P)

*Totally agrees with Fancy* Get one now Degers, while you still can :)

What does that have to do with anything? I came here to share information about Pleo...not to watch someone trying to be cute. I see your tracks all over this forum. You have ruined a lot of threads with stuff that has nothing to do with the thread you are posting on. You are sure messing it up for me.  Here's an idea. Start a new thread and name it "Silliness". Then you won't have to ruin my thread.

If you are referring to my citing of the Kookaburra song as ruining your thread, I apologise.  It was off-topic, however it was not the first off-topic thread of this post.
As a moderator of this forum, I can if you would so wish, split this thread at the point it became off topic and move the off-topic posts to another area.

Yeah, degers, you always go off topic!  No one else does.  Well, maybe one or two others....a dozen at the most!  Err, now that I think of it, you're about the only one who tries to keep things on topic! ;)

I apologize if you were offended by my Kookaburra post which led to an off-topic bit of fun. But leave Degers alone, the moderators for this forum do a fantastic job and they do it all for nothing, and indeed at their own expense at times. Your question had been answered, there is nothing else we can tell you since Ugobe no longer exists to ask why that happens. I should also point out that this site is about more than Pleo, it is about making friends and having fun too. I apologize again for disrupting your thread and ask that a mod kindly removes it for you and in future I will avoid your threads so that this doesn't happen again.

Sorry.

Kookaburra sits on the electric wire,
Tears in his eyes and his pants on fire,
Laugh Kookaburra laugh kookaburra,
Gay your life must be.

Remember at the end of the day this site was started to bring members of the Pleo community together to share information,Ideas and feelings but noody says you cannot have a bit of fun at the same time. After all we are not robots  ;)

Wow some people are so strict... See most forums that I try to post on are so strict with the rules, that you can't have a bit of fun... Infact half the time your posts would get deleted without any reasoning... It's kinda insane... That's why I like this forum cuz everyone is nice... :)

That's good...seems you have already done that. I very much appreciate it. It makes for a much cleaner forum and doesn't deny anyone from having fun, in the right place.
