Hi, we just hatched our Pleo rb on december 25th. Everything was fine, until we reset his internal clock time to noon two days ago. . Then he started falling asleep constantly. First, it would last for an hour, but now he has been sleeping for 4 hours in the early afternoon. In addition, as he was walking last night, he damaged his front foot. It is completely bent. Rock salt is not doing much.
And on top of it, the skin on his neck is starting to show cracks. (only after 5 days!)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  :-\
Thank you guys in advanced!

Wow! I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. When you say he falls asleep, does he go from moving around to emmediately falling asleep and then beeping once or does he sort of curl up and act as though he is dreaming? Also with the leg issue, did you hear any clicking when the injury happened? Does he scream when you touch the effected leg?

Yes, he just falls asleep in a curling position, beeps once and turns off.
I know they do take naps, but he seems to be awake only for 10 min, and then goes to sleep. No sounds at all.

As far as his foot, it is bent and raised. Happened yesterday after he was walking. He did get stuck or hit anything. Just touched a chair. When I touch it, he does not react in any different way. But he is waddling and can't even stand straight.

I am wondering, if I should just send him back for an exchage. The only thing that my son is so in love with him, that it will be a disaster:(((( Awh........

Grr. It seems we have lots of battery issues lately with these guys. Perhaps you have a bad battery. I had this problem recently with my Ryu after borrowing her battery briefly to revive her mate. My first problem was I didn't secure the foot plate under the battery tight enough and whenever she started putting pressure on her foot she would beep off just as you describe. When that didn't stop the sudden beeping off to sleep, I reset the clock with her turned on and got a confirming beep. Personally I prefer to do it with the pleo on.
As far as the leg, this sounds more mechanical than a programmed injury and your rock salt probably isn't going to help you. Have you tried gently manipulating the leg back into position? Make sure the pleo is off when you try though.

Talons is right for the clock battery - make sure you have the pleo switched on when you reset the clock battery so you get the beep to tell you that it worked.  The falling asleep and then one beep switching off means that your pleo thinks it is night time if you leave him like this with the battery in then he will wake up again on his own in about 12 or 14 hours (I can't remember exactly how long it takes ).  So the sleeping issue is a clock battery issue.  Either he hasn't registered when you re set it or there is an issue with the battery.

As for the leg there are two joints in the leg - the hip at the top where it connects to the body and the knee about half way down the leg.  You should try with the pleo switched off moving the leg back into position - it will make loud clicking sounds when you do which is normal.  You may need to move the knee joint to straighten the leg and if you do then just hold the leg above the knee and below it then move your below the knee hand back towards the pleos tail end (so away from the head end) until the leg is back in the straight position.  Then try turning the pleo back on and see what happens.
For the leg issue a video of it will help for us to see just what is going wrong and be able to advise you better.

Oh great, now his neck is stuck in the upward position. The guy is just falling apart.

First thing to do is switch off with the button and let the RB reboot - if it won't switch off, pull the battery.  If the joint is still stuck, come back for help.
