Battery Sticking
« on: December 25, 2012, 11:37:20 AM »

Hi all, I just want to find out as I had a Ugobe Pleo before getting the Pleo rb and found a few differences firstly how do you know when battery is completely depleted and needs to be recharged as Ugobe Pleo became sluggish and would go in sleep position and switch off, with pleo rb I noticed that when you don't interact with it for a long period it switches off. Secondly I find that battery seems to stick in my pleo and not very easy to get out anyone experiencing the same...

When a Pleo RB goes to sleep, it beeps once, and that means it may well wake up again when it thinks it's morning.  There are two beeps when you shut down with the button, and three beeps when the Pleo RB shuts down because the battery needs charging.  :)

As for the battery sticking and being hard to pull out I had that same issue with Norbit my green rb.  Take a look at the inside of the battery compartment on your pleo.  With Norbit his issue was being caused by a little black plug that is about 2/3's of the way down the side of the compartment - you will see a little slot in the plastic and the plug is sitting in that hole - on Norbit this plug was sticking out of the hole slightly and the battery was getting caught on it.  If this is causing the issue for you too you should be able to use a small pair of pliers of something and push the plug back into place.  The plug slots onto a little row of metal pins.  Unfortunately for me I didn't discover the cause of my issue un til it was too late and I actually ripped the plug out while removing the battery.  I still have the little plug piece carefully put aside incase I want to put it back at some point but Norbit works just fine without it and now it is very easy for me to get his battery in and out :)
