After the death of our beloved little tortie girl , Lei-lu who was 15 1/2 years who had to be euthanized on Oct.19th, 2012, we were devastated but with help of different members here on the forum, and the encouragement of Crewella who is also a great cat enthusiast, we decided to look for another baby, but not just any baby, a special baby, Yesterday with the Cat Gods smiling down on us, I found the purrfect baby.

Here she is, less than 24 hrs in our home.

Such a little rascal, I have a little black torte just like that (more black, with a white star on her chest) called Motley. It looks like you are going to have your hands full with that little one - please keep us updated with cute pictures and videos

Thanks everyone, She is just a little fireball, what energy, the other cats are checking her out, and interested but the typical hissing and growls and posturing, but that is being replaced by more and more interest I am uploading a short one minute video of he playing in the garden, will put it here shortly. She is going to keep me busy that is for sure!

Wait, she's a stray? I actually have a stray kitty friend who lives near me and just had kittens. She lives in a colony of strays and is a semi-feral. She has a white diamond on her head with black in the middle. :3

Floodsy and Luna, NO, she is not a stray. I adopted her in front of petco at a adoption event, yesterday, Saturday, NOv. 10th. ( This is why i did not finish the halloween scavenger hunt too busy with my new baby..) I do have strays that i feed in the alley, but no babies. This little one will be two months old tommorow.

I may have to do a video diary as kittens grow up so fast, one day they are kittens, the next day they are full grown.She is so little yet she was already spayed, just a few days ago! Poor baby, her tummy is shaved, but she looks fine, she is a trooper! Right now she is sitting on my lap trying to hit the keyboard for me.

We have no ideas for names yet, but will let everyone know when she gets one!

Hi Floodsy, yes kittens are so cute, all baby animals, but kittens are so full of energy at this age, she is wearing me out! she is only on day two with us today and has already won over two of our biggest boys, Jon-e-Hu, our big Russian Blue who is about 7 years old, and Karl Kat, my other and latest Rescue Cat who I have posted about many times,( He has Stomatits, had to have ALL his teeth removed, and was very very sick this past summer, almost died or would have had to be euthanized. He made it through this last surgery in August and is now GREAT)

My oldest cat and Matriarch of the family, Aiffa who is about 17-18 years old, totally cares less if she is there, has accepted her. Now I just have six more cats to win over and one dog who loves her but the kitten has to find out that the dog is the most gentle being in the house. For two days, I think we are doing great.

I have spent the last hour deleting and moving photos to my external harddrive, because believe it or not, I have a computer with 577 gb, of which 516 are all used up already, ( mostly all photos and videos.) I have 600 gb of memory, but the difference from 600 gb to 577 is for the programs on the computer. I have a external hard drive and it has 931 gb which 520 gb are allready used up from sending my photos from my hard drive to it, so you can see I am constatnly taking video and photos. It takes a lot of memory for what i do, and a lot of time to copy on to DVDs, so I could literally sepnd weeks probably copying files, just need the time....

When I get a chance tonight within the next hour hopefully, I am uploading another cute video taken when we first brought her home, I will be doing a daily or almost dailyl video diary of her, No name yet, though my hubby has a couple in mind. He told me this is one of my Christmas presents, and I told him this is a Lifetime present.

Awwww! It sounds like you have some very accepting animals! My pets would take a loooong time to get used to a new arrival. My bird would probably try to give them a nip or two, in fact. Have your Pleos met you kitten, or would the little baby accidentally scratch them?

That will be a video topic soon, just trying to get the little girl used to her surrounding first, with eight big cats, one huge dog, and two clumsy humanoids before the little darling is scared and revokes her adoption papers...

I will be posting other video though shortly, I must have taken twenty to thirty video/ photo combinations just today, my Pleos are getting a little jealous right now and my RB have not eaten since Friday, or perhaps one of them ate on Saturday, but I dont think it was that recently...(Please do not report me to Pleo Police....I am usually a very loving mom to my township...but Kittens take urgency over anything that "moos",

I am glad my kitten doesnt have to worry about a bird chasing her, even my grown big guys would be worried about beaks and flapping wings with murder in a bird's eye.. LOl In fact, it reminds me of a video I took before I got this kitten,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...................................RWM

Hi guys Yes, Yahool would be a cute name but we just came up with her name this morning and I like the way it sounds. I am uploading a video now that was taken last night and will reveal her name then, It is a short 3 minute video, shorter than many of my Pleo videos anyway.. ;)so in a few short minutes you will see my little girl playing and will learn her name. I do like the name Yahoo, and I did know that people were starting to think that was her name. I started the post, just being so excited I was saying, Yahoo, to celebrate my feelings on gettting this littel bundle of joy...

Here name is given at the end of the video. It is a name from one of the golden Wisdom temples in the Gobi Desert, that is all I will say.

She is such a sweet highly energetic kitten..I am blessed to have her and as Crewella said, our tortie, Lei_lu who passed on at the age of 15 1/2 last month, would approve of this new lititle Tortie, a lot like her at the same age.. It makes me cry just thinking of her, but tears turn to joy when I watch this little kitten.

She is the sweetest little thing

It is a lovely name for her RWM. I wonder if her coat will change much as she gets older. I have notice with Coco my brindle torti baby that when we first got her the black overcoat was much darker than it is now. She was kind of a secret ginger cat when she was a small kitten and now she is more openly ginger and secretly black

Do you think your babies dark overcoat will lighten up and let her other colors shine through more as she grows or is this just something special that my baby did?

Hi Kat, that is a good observation and ?Faqiti (Fah-kee-tee) is in my lap now and making it very difficult to do any keyboarding, my hubby made her a nice necklace, collar today,and it really shows off her colors well. I love the photo of Cocao, had no idea or had forgotten you had a kitten last year too! Torties are such fun and very interesting, I will respond more when this little girl takes another nap.. I also have an outside girl who lost part of her tail about 6 days ago in what looks like a fanbelt injury, and besides half of her tail gone...she has what appears to be a infection going with maggots..........(YUCK poor cat) Tried to catch her last night but she ran when she saw me open the door. Seems my life is surrounded with cats, rescue , etc, etc, With so much bad stuff going on around me, I really needed this little girl and she is so so sweet and so pretty too!

Kat<I will be back when I can, got to put this baby down for a nap and I can get some work done!
