Thank you so much for your answers  ::)

Ugobe itself is still on the market right? Because i wrote that there are some issues in contacting them and with downloading
some updates...
I am just asking because i am a little bit worried if there is something wrong with Pleo and i might need to exchange him....

How about a second battery? Because 1 hour of playtime is not a lot :-[

Can anyone tell me if i can use a second battery without any problems right after the first one is empty?
How about the warranty in Germany? Does anyone know if the warranty will count in Germany if i purchase him here?
Because we will move to Germany by the end of that year...

Thank you ;D

If you move you will need to send back to where you bought him if something goes wrong :(

Ugobe still exists at this stage, the retailer you buy from will be the one responsible for replacements or refunds in the event of the unforeseen :o So buy from someone you trust. The updates are available from their site or right here :)

A second battery is a great idea, I have two :) And yup you can use the one after the other, although Pleo will shut down and become dozy if he gets too warm from running too long, its nothing to worry about though.

I would never say he isn't cute. The problem is that there is no responsible
Person anymore if he brakes or whatever happens. It is electronic and that means
that it could brake....
I really really would love to get one...
I am just scared of what ever could happen:-(

I hope you understand what I mean...

This is really too bad there they are out of business:-(

If it is any help, if you buy from an independent retailer the warranty is with them and at the very least you would get your money back in the event of the unforeseen...

IMR is completly right thats how i managed to get a replacement the next day when indie broke, whilst i was there i queried what would happen if he broke if ugobe went bust and he told me within the warrenty period that i would get a refund equal to the amount i paid for it, so may be worth still getting one :)

Go with Hammacher Schlemmer.  More expensive, but it's a lifetime warranty honored by them, not Ugobe.

I would highly recommend you to reconsider my dear friend.
You have no idea how much you will regret this in the future, maybe.

To put things in perspective for you: many existing Pleo owners are doing exactly the opposite of you... now that Ugobe is gone they are seriously considering a new Pleo on the double! And I am one of them!

Again... personally I would give it some more thought and let the worries of defectiveness slide away. Especially when you indeed can get direct support from a store anyway. ;)
