Bored?  Don't know what to do while your pleo's battery is charging?  Well . . .   have I got a deal for you! 

I have a couple of projects in need of assistance.  :

Project #1:  I would like to have a monthly mailing from the forums here,  something to show up in people's mailbox and let them know what's going on.  Because believe it or not, the bulk of the members don't visit here every day! 

What I am looking for is someone who has an hour or two a week to spare, likes to write (newsletter experience a plus, but no special skills required), and is dependable.  This should be an ongoing effort . . . .

Project #2: These forums are only five months old, and already we have members who haven't visited in over four months!   So, as a part of this emailing campaign, I would like everyone to try their hand at crafting a short (1-3 paragraphs) encouraging members to come back and visit us again!

Project #3: There has been some justifiable concern that we are losing valuable information about pleo.  With the demise of Ugobe and the disappearance of Dino-MITE, it's understandable.  So, I have started a project, and need people familiar with Adobe Acrobat and/or HTML/web page programming, and who like to surf the web . . .

I can help with Project #1 and Project #2 and I know HTML and CSS (but I rarely use adobe) if that helps... and I surf a lot

Oh and on the subject of Dinomite, perhaps it might be wise to grab a copy of myskit and YAPT to make available here as well in case they go the same way And the instruction manuals

It would be great if anybody who used to receive notifications from Pleoworld in the past still had those e-mails. I think having those e-mails would be nice because then we could use the letterheads and images and get a gist of what they were saying.

Come and share your hopes and dreams for the little robots that made such a stir when they first made their appearance into the world. Share skits, hacks, stories, pictures and memories, come and laugh with us, find information, swap pictures, learn things and follow Pleo as his evolution halts at a crossroad trying to decide which direction to take. Ugobe is gone, but Pleo lives on, perhaps a new company will buy and make Pleo's again, or perhaps they will just buy the OS and create their own robots, but either way the legacy of Pleo will not be forgotten as long as the community remembers, shares and discusses.

Remember Pleo, remember us...
