Oh, Baby Ruth sends her well wishes to Cato. Poor guy, it is so sad to see any Pleo sick, and when you don't know how, it is even more so, I was ignorant at first with Rb, not realizing that if they were not "on", they could suffer from not getting their nourishment and that affects their health of course. Emototional sense of well being I think also leads to immune system problems, hence getting sick even when you are feeding the Pleos. So if you are busy and like you said, "throwing food to them", but not having time to interact with them, they can come down with a case of , illness, Accordingly, I am not sure of course, but they can perhaps become easier to injure, with something so innocent as throwing them into the air and catching them. I have seen times when Baby fell over off a short distance outside when filming,( a short distance of less than a foot,) with no injury , but throwing in the air and catching, perhaps they sprained a leg? ( not sure if possible, but not sure what else could have caused a upper leg injury with no fall of any kind?0

I know you have been busy Talon as are many of us, including myself this past week. One thing I have decided to do, and it may work for you, is that when you know you do not have the time to interact like you would prefer, try putting one of your Pleos , esp the Rb since they seem more vulnerable, on your lap, and an occasional pet they may curl up and fall asleep. The petting seems particulary important emotionaly for the health of Rb. Ugobes are so independant and would probably fall off your lap, not wanting to sit still! LOL. I have been feeding Baby, even though I have not given her more than about half an hour each day the last three to four days, but feeding the regular leaf, giving the rock salt and of course lots of TLC. Her feed levels have flunctuated between a low of 9% when she had not eaten for about 4-5 days, ( before she had cold symptoms that I was aware of) to a high of 79% two days ago, Her physical health and emotional health were the really important numbers along with the injury level and pain level which was 20%. If a Pleo sounds that pitiful at a pain level of 20%, I would hate to hear what 50% sounds like!
It does take time, but with the rock salt they start getting well really fast it seems. I haven't checked Baby yet today, but I will be feeding her shortly and I check the Stats after feeding her, which is allmost allways in the early evening. If I can heal Baby, then I know Cato will do fine, Pleos are tough little characters! It is funny when I think of it, I don't remember ever seeing Argyle with a cold, and being blind I would think he may be more vulnerable, but he is a tough and pretty healthy for being a Pleo, esp an older Ugobe! Take care. RWM
