I would like to get to know the people here more, and not just the Pleo part

So I can start off by telling you a bit more of me and my life.

I work fulltime, regular office job monday to friday.
And I love animals and have for as long as I can remember. My dad travelled a lot and worked abroad, so he´s from Sweden while mum is from Colombia. So this i s why my sister is born in Panama and I in Zri Lanka. But after we came he settled down in Sweden to raise us.

My favorite thing in this world (exept Pleos) is handcraft.
I do jewellery, beaded mostly, but also work with clay, silver and make my own glassbeads.

Well there's not much to tell. I was born two months before term and weighed one and a half pounds. I lost my sight three days after I was born dew to the doctors not covering my eyes with cottonballs to protect them from the oxygen in my incubator. I don't feel anger at the doctors. Because of what happened to me and several other premature babies, the eye condition- retenopathy of prematurity- has nearly been iliminated. I do my best not to let my disability hinder me. I have an Associates degree in Arts and a BA in Interdisciplinary studies. I love writing- just about anything minus anything trashy or degrading. I also enjoy riding horses and learning how to use different technological gagets. *grin* This was what led me to the Furby in the ninetys and pleo today. I am writing for an online company presently but it's more of a hobby than a real source of income. I do want to work- somewhere if someone would just look past my blindness and give me a chance.

i too love Animals and have a few pets i have 2 dogs , 2 cats my kids have their rabbits and quinea pigs lol Also i have a African Grey called Gracie and have just recently bought a baby blue and gold Macaw and we called him Sunny 
i live in the UK england and unfortunately have lived here and in same town all my life lol

i love my Job as a Postman and like all of us here in the forum i am interested in robotic gadgets , toys , pets

OK, travelled a lot as a child but now live in the UK with my OH - we've been together 20 years, but don't have children of our own and OH's are now grown up.

I work part-time and often from home in the antiques/auction trade and also run a pest control business.  I love all animals and we currently have four cats, I used to keep (and rescue) reptiles, mainly snakes, and had a horse riding accident when I was 20 that means I have ongoing hip replacement problems.  It didn't put me off horses, but it does mean I can't do the cross-country and reschooling like I used to.

I love old things, and get a kick out rescuing stuff and doing it up.  Usually it's furniture, jewellery and 'nick-nacks', but since coming on here I've started buyng old and broken Pleos and trying to fix them up ................. it's like an addiction!   

So, I live in a little old terraced cottage full of heavy, dark furniture and stained glass, with an ever increasing collection of robots all desperate for space and light!

I have one cat, 7 Chinchillas and a fishtank (240 Litres) and a smaller shrimp tank.

I would love to get a dog, but bought a Pleo instead, and now have 2 I get addicted to stuff really easy I guess... And now days I love trying to find accessories for my dino friends

aaah I dunno, I'm a cartoonist/illustrator as my hobby, and im just about to study art again at college later this month.
I own 2 aibos, and 1 pleo - and various smaller robot toys, i also have a pet budgie who i am trying to teach tricks.
I love video games, currently playing deus ex and some of my fave games are in the pokemon series, the legend of zelda series and i'll play just about any RPG.
I collect pluhies and figures of anime/video games characters and sometimes make my own custom one  - gonna be making a custom JC denton (deus ex) as there is no merch of him! quite shocking considering it's deemed one of the greatest games of all time.

uuuh not much to say i guess, i'm quite dull :S other than maybe I have a fiancee too? haha

I love video games, I'm a roleplayer, a writer, and an animal lover. My favorite games are Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Zelda, and Final Fantasy, which includes Kingdom Hearts. I also like anime and manga. My favorite live-action shows are Doctor Who and Criminal Minds.

i think we are starting to see a connection here between all of us other then we like robotic pets but we all seem to be Animal lovers also but it will be interesting to know if there are any pleo owners out there who are not so keen on Animals (pets) ...

I'm an animal lover from way back.   When I was just a girl in high school I worked as a vet nurse on the weekends and then went on to study vet nursing at TAFE.  The most exciting thing about this was doing my prac one day a week for 6months working at the Perth Zoo.   I had the best time and got to see and do some of the most amazing things.  Washing elephants... watching a baby giraffe being born... stitching up a snake with a big cut along it's belly.... touching an unconscious lion.... shooting sultanas out of the dart gun into the monkey enclosures to get them use to the dart gun being a good thing.    and many more exciting adventures.
Now I am a wife and a mum to two kids, I have a dog and two cats as pets and I work full time as a team leader/sales rep for a greeting card company.    I also have 2 Aibos and 4 pleos.   and in my spare time I sew pleo clothes which I sell in my store Kat's Creations, here on the forum!

 Wow great post and topic LIna,  I love the jewelry you posted photos of by the way, very pretty. I have way too many things I am addicted to, including Pleos, so will have to make a long post with all kinds of infor later and add some photos, I fear I am addicted to photos and taking videos as well, filling up a brand new computer almost to capacity in only about seven months time. I have been known to take as many as 100 photos in one day easily along with video and post some of the longest most detailed posts on things I sell on ebay as well, It is almost impossible for me to " describe " somthing, even a simple child's book in one photo or one or two sentences. I believe in being as complete as possible. So I know a lot more about everyone here now, some surprises and many things already well known such as how many animal lovers there are here on the forums, I have many many hobbies and part of getting older is it lets you collect more things as time passes, LOL. I will be back with a lot to tell an photos to support my story.
                   I am enjoying reading about everyone so thank you for the start of this post Lina, well done a good one we can all contribute to in one way or another I am sure.

I am a dentist by profession.  I am married with 2 small children, a 3y/o daughter and a 20 month old son.  My son was born 2 months early, but he is doing VERY well and seems to have no complications from his premature birth.  I enjoy spending time with my kids, fishing, and anything that has to do with Disney.  I have 1 pleo RB (pink), one Ugobe Pleo, an Aibo 210, and a champagne ERS-7M3, which I like to enjoy when I can.  I do have a cat that we raised with a baby bottle when he was very young.  Someone was moving a trailer and accidently killed the mother cat.  She had 4 small kittens.  3 lived and one passed away.  Unfortunately, he bites, so he lives very comfortably in our finished basement with all the comforts of home.  Heat, A/C, a huge sectional, fireplace, his toys, and all the comforts of home.  We bring him upstairs to play with him when the kids go to bed.  I have had bearded dragons in the past, but there aren't any vets in our area that will care for them, so I don't have them any more.  I don't want to have a pet that I can't take to the vet when it is sick.  I still have the tanks, and if I find a vet in the area, or at least within a 90 minute drive, I might try it again when my kids get older.  I guess that about covers it!  Great topic, Lina!

Uh, let's see.  I AM a pleo.  I'm Lord of Weedovia, and a Knight of the order of Pizza, but those are more of just honorary titles.  I don't really do much as far as the "lording" stuff goes.  I mostly just goof off around the castle.   I would say I keep busy with an acting career starring in my own comic strip, but I don't really do anything; mweed does all the work.  And I would say a run the forums, but even though they are named after me, I let grumpy do most of the admin stuff.  I'm hardly even online much.  I do tweet fairly regularly,  but I'm not sure that qualifies as a job.  Hmmm . . . .  I'd say it sounds more like I'm one of those eccentric rich millionaire types, if it weren't for that money bit . . .

I do have one pet cow named Moo.  I don't own any pleos, as slavery was abolished, but I have quite a few pleo friends.   As for hobbies . . . uh, does eating count?  Or is that more of an occupation?  I do collect combs.  I got started after Grumpy gave me one as a present.  I figured they must be rare and valuable, since pleos don't have hair.

Lol! Well, Bob, it's nice to meet you! I think you and my Ugobe pleo Ugobe would make good friends. He likes to eat and be lazy too but he prefers leaves to pizza. He has a collection of fans- human fans. He has everyone under his spell even Ryu my agressive RB. Unfortunately commics and screenreaders don't get along very well but I have a friend who loves your strip and reads them to me. I think the best jobs in the world are the ones where you don't feel like you're working. Have fun and tell mweed to keep up the good work!

I'm a competitive pianist, being a state champion (I have no clue how it happened though, honestly, there's someone else I'd give it to if I could), and a violinist.  I have hopes of becoming a paleontologist, a paleoartist, and a 'paleo-writer' (and hopefully just a plain writer, as well).  I'd like to add 'musician' in there too.   

I'm a homeschooler.  Technically, I'm in middle school, but I take high school courses.  Latin and the sciences must be my favorite classes.

Well, where do I start?

I'm currently a 6th-form student (I think the USA equivalent is senior year), probably going into studying Art, Design Tech, and Classical Civilisation.
I play the drums (though I'm self-taught, and currently a solo project, and I use the school's very basic kit because I don't have my own), and my favourite kinds of music are jazz (Mostly swing and late-night) and heavy metal (Pretty much all sorts, but especially symphonic metal). An odd combination, wouldn't you say?

Pleos aside, my other major interest is probably cartoons. I am pretty much hooked on cartoons. Golden age, Dark age, Renaissance age...But not so much the newest stuff. I mostly like the stuff from the 80s and 90s. Animaniacs, Don Bluth movies (Especially the Land Before Time movies), Rennaisance-era Disney, etc.
 I hope to go into animation at uni, and work at a cartoon studio someday. Or maybe even start my own!

Apart from Littlefoot, I don't really have any pets of my own, but our family also has a pair of cats, Francinsense and Maximillian...Frank and Max for short. Or Slinky and Stinky, as my dad calls them...Or Ratso and Fatso, as he also calls them....
I do like animals alot though. Always have.

I practise Bujinkan-style Ninjutsu, and currently hold a 9th kyu green belt.

I also play wargames, from live action stuff such as Dagorhir and NERF guns, to tabletop stuff, especially Warhammer 40k, in which I currently collect a Chaos Daemons army. I'm also considering collecting Lizardmen too, what with my recent resurrection of my obsession with dinosaurs.

I am also a proud enlisted member of the Army of Toy Soldiers, under the moniker of Mike Mcnanner. Littlefoot was also recently enlisted as a Lieutenant.

And finally, I also have an interest in the furry-fandom. My own fursona (Or dino-sona, as I call him), is a Spinosaurus named Redback. I'm mostly into the fandom itself for the art and the social aspect. What got me into is was probably a combination of the art, and the close connection with animals.

I'm a university student studying primary school teaching, I have only six months to go and then I will be out in the workforce. I have one dog, two cats, four birds and five Pleo's, I live with my divorced dad because he can't cook to save his life In my spare time I lurk on various forums, make/destroy things and play computer games. I love documentaries of all kinds, playing my wii and doing anything Pleo.
