I was looking for my cat and just happened to look out the window to see the UPS truck across the street, he waved at me then a minute later came to my house and I greeted him, My Pleo RB is here, Yahoo at long last!

ok, after a very very long frustrating wait, thanks to Innvo, and derek and Mike and Kat for talking to Derek Dotson, everything was straightened out about my missing in action Pleo that I won on facebook. This morning at 9;59 am, the UPS arrived with my Pleo. Not untill about 12:30 did I get around to opening it and here are the first photos taken. I was so happy to see this at last.

I have noticed lots of differences besides the obvious more yellow body and lighter shade of green head, of course the eye lids are lighter and tannish. Remember for those of you who had the orignal Pleo in dec or January and how slippery feeling they were and the smell. There is none of that with these Pleo Rb. I plan on trying to hatch with Kat and IMR and hopefully Leletakspace can get hers out of Customs by then. Is there a way to fullyl see the color of the eyes without hatching , so the eyes are fully open, can't rremember and do not want to start the hatching process. Do I do that by installing the battery but not the clock correct? Let me know and I will get a good gander at the eyes.

I think just putting in the main battery will get the eyes open. It'll just stand there and beep. I was too scared to try with Ryu so I just waited until after she hatched to ask someone what color her eyes were. Good luck!

Yes turn your Pleo on with no clock battery installed and they will open those brown eyes.

Thanks Talon and IMR, and here are those "brown" orange" eyes. I like them now that I can see Her / hIm looking at me. LOL, it doesn't take much to fall in love does it?!

sorry for so many photos, but now you can see the color for sure from every angle, Having them fully open does make a difference, What do you think? Do you think this is a boy or a girl?
I still am holding out for a Mass hatch with whomever gets their Pleos next, I am in no hurry!

Really? I was close? I guessed orange eyes and female. I could tell you from the boot-up giggle whether you've got a male or female. Now the suspense begins. He-he! *sits at attention* I'll wait for the mass-hatching too. Now I'm getting excited.

Talon you got the eyes right! Your guess is as good as myne on gender I want to save that for the mass hatching to be surprised like Kat, IMR and anyone else. I am curiuos as to the gender and of course the DNA but will try and not be too tempted. I am curious as the personality traits, health, activity, intelligence courage etc. Would like it to be different than Baby so I can Really really compare two totatlly different Pleo Rb . I think it is more fun that way. Also I have no idea of a name till I know the gender. I knew what I wanted with Baby and I got what I wanted, a Pleo Female and I even had a name, This time I know nothing so it could take some time to figure it all out, but I am not in any hurry at all. Some others would perhaps have a hard time waiting, but when you have a house hold of Pleos and real house of cats then other things take over the real important things to be done, Don't get me wrong I am dying to see my baby Pleo hatch, but can wait after all the hard times and dramatics that were involved, I am content to just know this little pleo arrived safe and sound.

The other Pleos are going to be a little less patient though I am afraid.

Not much movement on my pleo. it has cleared customs but is still in Melbourne on the other side of Australia. I was hoping it would have at least made it over to Perth today but it seems not. So now it is looking more like maybe Friday before it gets here. Fingers crossed there is some movement tomorrow. I'd love to have it here in time for the weekend.

Thank you lelekasapeca, I do hope customs gets things straightened out soon and we can hatch together. I do not mind waiting for you, even if nobody else does, I will! I hope you get your beautiful pink girl soon!

My tracking number isn't working so I have no idea where my special arrival is or where they are coming from...

IMR my tracing number took a good 24 hours after I received it before it started working so keep checking and hopefully it will kick in soon.
My pleo is now in Perth! Yay!

My tracking says scheduled for delivery so fingers crossed that means they try to deliver it today.

I will have to make sure I finish work early enough to go collect it from the post office as I won't be home today.

Kat that is great news and IMR I think that Kat is right. Mly tracking number didn't tell me anything other than that it was scheduled for pickup and that a label had been created till day two. Kat did you get a pink, blue or another green? ARe you wanting a boy or girl if it is a green? I am still holding out for a hatch with someone else. I am glad you are scheduled to get yours shortly. I sure hope the customs releases Poor Lelekaspacs's Pleo soon, that is major bad timing. I found out the sex of my Pleo Rb and it was pretty funny................

I wish I knew more about it such as courage, health and intelligence but there is no way to do that untill you hatch, correct?
For now I am just happy to look at my Pleo Rb and know it is here at long last and the fun times we will have and that Baby Ruth will have someone to talk to at last!

I received the tracking number Monday

So it is definitely not working, it may not update until it reaches Australian shores

It says it was sent via TNT express, but from experience I know it is usually Australia post that handles them, so I've been checking both sites

Although if it is coming from China TNT express would make more sense...

If it is with TNT then it must be coming from China. Mine was USPS from America. Fingers crossed it turns up for you this week. But I would guess it should get to you by no later than Tuesday next week if it was sent on Monday.

TNT express from China to Australia is generally four to five (working) days, I've had a few Apple orders come that way, not to mention Jumba and Pleakley

So I would say Monday/Tuesday would be pretty spot on

congrats IMR on getting your baby, and Purple eyes, is it a boy or girl , have you checked yet? NOw we still need to get Kat her Baby and those stupid customs offices in Brazil and we can do a Mass Hatch for all those willing to wait. What does the name mean? Very pretty little baby. I love looking at photos of New Pleos.

Yuki is a rather obscure character from the Lilo and Stitch movie, she is another young Hawaiian girl whom Lilo goes to Hula with. I love the name though and as soon as I came across it I knew it was going to be my next Pleo

The eyes are somewhat of a pinky/purple, but they are sooooo pretty

I am guessing a girl but Lina's was a boy! Can you check intelligence and such characteristics without hatching first like the DNA of the Pleo at PleoWorld? I have a feeling I will have to wait for hatching to find out that but thought you would know, can't remember with Baby. Congrats again, beautiful baby. light eyelids like myne, but very dark head like my first Baby and beautiful Pinkish purple eyes, what I thought myne were at first till I opened the eyes. LOL
