I think contacting their lawyer is a good idea but I dont think we will be getting Pleo back fixed though :(

Its so sad to hear that UGOBE has filed for bankruptcy because I really love my Linus.

I caught this short article that might be interesting.  http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/22/ugobe-expects-pleo-ip-to-fetch-a-pretty-penny/

Would you know how we can contact the lawyer?

I really want Linus back and maybe if we both contact their lawyer they'll give us back our Pleos.

Thanks

*fingers crossed* Lets hope something good does come of it. If Pleo were bought by a larger company the future for our little robot pals might not be so bleak :o But sadly all this auctioning, refinancing, organizing etc takes time and then there is restaffing, advertising (I do hope that the people who buy it get some serious advertising done) the organization of production, software (the list is endless) it is unlikely that we will hear much about Pleo for months.

what is a Pleo -IP

IP is the abbreviation for Intellectual Property.  This generally refers to all the non-physical parts of your pleo:  the software, designs, processes, knowledge and info about pleo, how he works, and how to make them.

Watches tick? ???

30 some years ago, there was a nonsensical joke, a non-sequitur, where one man asks another what time it is, and the second man replies "I don't know.  I forgot my phone."  You see, thirty years ago that was funny, because it made no sense.  Today, people don't wear watches.  If they want to know what time it is, they just look at their phone.  So, yes, at one time, watches did tick . . .    but perhaps you remember a time when people wore sundials . . .  ;) :D

Setting the right time was always a problem, they were hard to read on a cloudy day, and they were heavy too! :P  (I was old fashioned and insisted on granite.)

My mummy is Egyptian!!!  And she is wearing a watch!  Did she have a name similar to the name in my signature box?  Maybe that explains why I have to wrap myself up in linen strips all the time. ;)

Nah, we're still on topic, as long as you realize that Ugobe's time has run out and that they're wrapping things up . . .  ;)

But in this case, Pleo only gets a cardboard and Styrofoam sarcophagus.
