That would be a brillliant idea. When you buy the Pleo, he comes all curled up inside some sort of plastic egg and literally hatches out of it when you switch it on for the first time.

Although, actually switching him on while he's still in his egg might present some problems...

*shudder* That would be a nightmare for the skin! I agree it's a nice thought but just not practical I'm afraid.

Thats a cute video.. If I'd been there I would have been hoping to take home one of the eggs to hatch..  ;D

Well, it still hasn't hatched but here's MY Pleo egg.. :

My whole herd went nuts preparing for that egg but we still aren't sure who the father is.. it might be patches!  :-X

If you didn't see the egg post, Comaro: http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=2144.msg33173#msg33173
I'm still trying to figure out just what should hatch from that egg.. if anyone has any ideas..  8)

Not trying to copy your idea, Latrine, but I have an egg-post in mind as well. I've already written the captions and my niece is going to do some Manga-like Photo Shop work on it. It's gonna be really cute if I can pull it off! It does involve some naturally-occuring poses on the happy couple's part so... it might take a loooong time to put together. Plus- aham- I'm not that good of an actress. I should quit while I'm ahead. *looks away and smiles nervously* We're going to try anyway.

Camaro, I'd love to see what you could come up with for what comes out of the Pleo egg... it just might TAKe a mad scientist to figure this one out (I hadn't realized at the time of the egg thing that both my RB's were female, Crow was too young to do the full communication thing but I assumed she was a boy)
So keep in mind that naked Patches is PROBABLY the father.. and Rhea is PROBABLY the mother so.. the kid might look a little weird..

RHEA:

PATCHES:

Then again.. Could Loki the Aibo possibly be the father?

That Rhea really gets around, jeeesh..

Talon, I can't wait to see your egg sequence!  Your not copying, I had loads of fun doing mine, even when I tried it the first time with a rotten watermelon.. lol.. I'm sure you'll do an awesome job,.. just keep it pg-13, ok?  lol.. :D

That would be cute!  But would also be extremely hard to impossible to invent into the pleos as well as expensive to the company to then launch a new pleo...though that would be awesome I just don't think it's likely.

I like your idea Latrine and If you do not mind, I will try and post a few photos tommrow of some of my Pleos with an egg I happen to have. It is just the right size for a Pleo, though I think they would say, "ouch" when it comes out.it would be nice to have a little Pleo be able to come out though. :o I think that Innvo would have a great item if they were able to have a Pleo sized egg that the Pleos could hatch out of, only once mind you, when they are born and they slowly "come " out of it like a real dino would. It could be made of something soft enough that it would give way when the Pleo who has the battery already in them is activated from somewhere outside on the egg or a chip , something simple and inexpensive. H0w neat would that be! If I could get Pleo into a curled up position when starting to  hatch, I would love to do a project just for a qucik video that would show them hatching, Hmm, gives me an idea and I think I will try that , it may not be the greatest looking video, but it would be fun, don't you agree! ;D %)I think I know how I will do it, but it will take a few days or so to figure out the details, but should be fun.
All my years of working with kids and such may just pay off for inspiration and I love dinosaurs and of course Pleo! In the meantime, I will use my ready made Pleo sized egg I have for some fun photos. Thanks for the inspiration Latrine and Talon and everyone else! Special thanks to Latrines Pleos for their creativity to start the ball rolling! LOL :D

I think Patches only has eyes for that kangaroo ...........

Must be Loki as the father of the egg - weird looking baby indeed! :D
