I already have a older pleo in my house...i cant sell it because he was really cute when he lived.

he broke his neck...so he cant move his head alot anymore, and the tail also seems to be damaged..

And short after these problems pleo wont turn on anymore...maybe its the battery, but maybe i will buy a PleoRB...

im just wondering if desame poopy will happen to it if i buy it...
and if there's a place where i can get it cheaper...i payed 180 euro for the first pleo but the new one is double as expensive

You can bye a neck brace for your pleo and i wouldnt sell my pleo ever beacuse of the treat of him being buyed and given to a child or someone who would take him apart. but just wait the price for a rb will go down over time. i mean i realy want a aibo and the price of one has gown down alot i might get one someday  and i also want a blue rb.

I'm afraid I think it will be a long time before the RB is possible to buy more cheaply. 

You can buy an old Ugobe quite reasonalby these days, though .........

I did manage to get a never opened pleo RB off ebay for $270 (was $300 but I got a $30 refund since it wasn't the color specified in the auction). So it is possible to come across some fairly cheap RBs on ebay (not as cheap as Ugobes but better than what they cost new).

Yes you can find them sometimes just make sure your careful and ask for pictures of all views of the pleo.. especially if its the older model as they tend to have rips...
If its a ugobe make sure to get pics of the underside, armpits and such..
As for damage, well.. that's why your sometimes better off buying them new, for the warranty.. they are still learning and some of us have had good luck with our Pleos and then some of us, like me, have had to return many of them and get new ones.. but the neck area is supposed to be stronger in the RB's than the ugobes and their are many MANY differences between the two models..  I would see about maybe getting a different battery for your ugobe Pleo, maybe your battery has failed?  RedWoodsMama here on the forum sells egg batteries and they are awesome for the ugobe models.. maybe you can talk with her or describe your pleos problem a bit more so we might be able to help you..

Wow so many woman on here, odd.

I did a review of my pleo when i had it and placed it on youtube. My patents dont want a pet and thats why i bought it some time back. Cuddling against you and making the cute noises...im still in love with my pleo^^

You may well find that your little ugobe pleo can be revived with a new battery.  Also IMR sells really nice compact neck braces in her shop -PleoWear - here on the forums.  So it is possible your little guy could be brought back to life.  
An easy way to know if the tail cable is broken is to put your finger against the underside of the tail and gently push upwards.  If you meat resistance and the tail kind of curls around your finger then the cable on that side of the tail is ok.  Do the same thing again with your finger on the top of the tail and gently push down.  Again you should meet resistance and the tail should curl up around your finger.  You can do the same for each side of the tail too.  If you meet resistance in all directions then the tail cables are all fine and in tact.  If the tail just flops and goes where you push it with no resistance at all then in is a broken tail cable.

Also if you are looking for a new cheap Ugobe pleo there is a place on ebay that sells ones that have never been opened or used for $199 US plus free shipping and they come with two batteries.  I bought one of these and are happy to recommend them to anyone thinking of buying a ugobe pleo.  Mine is great.  He came in perfect condition works great and both batteries are fully functional as well.
The rb's are also lovely though and I think worth saving up for.  I have two of each type and they are all wonderful.

So what does this neck brace do?
I think it cant fix his current neck problem?

The neck brace will help to hold his neck in a straight horizontal position so that his head is looking forward instead of down at the ground.  It won't fix the neck but it will help your pleo be able to get around again without dragging his head along the ground.

Concerning the batteries, if they are the old green Ugobe batteries, here is a couple things to try (I know from experience... )

1. Completely recharge it. Just let it drain and recharge it fully again. If that doesn't work:
2. recondition the battery. The Innvo battery charger (available on the pleoworld site) has a special function that allows you to recondition old batteries that no longer hold a charge. Either find someone who has one, or get one, and run the battery through it. It takes about a day to completely work. If that fails:
3. Buy a new battery. Either get another green Ugobe battery, or one of the white Ucube batteries.

It might also be a software issue. Which operating system is it running on?

Fimo's right - it probably is the battery.  More than half the 'bricked' Pleos I have bought have just had battery problems, so unless it stopped working while you were running an update or something, it's more likely to be battery related.  IMHO the egg charger batteries are a vast improvement on the original green ones, you need an egg charger but can use the same adapter.

 I can vouch for what Crewella said regarding the battery, I have bought all but my RB off of ebay, and except for one which has never been opened and three that were New, only used a couple of times, at least seven of them were supposed to not be working, and it was allways the battery. Now there is a chance that you could get one that does not work, but I have been lucky as has Crewella, and it has allways been the battery. I happen to sell the egg batteries so it is allways easy for me to test these guys with a fresh battery and they have all worked. The egg batteries are so much more better and last longer than the green batteries.
       and as others have said, having a Pleo with a broken neck is not the end of the life for a Pleo, There are several members here that can tell you that they have Pleos with broken necks, and though the NECK can't be fixed, a brace can be put on and the pleo can function as well as before with the only exception being they can not lift their head up, but it still moves from side to side and of course down. I love my Nova and Little 45 very much, and they both have broken necks and wear a neck brace . IMR does sell them on the forums here as her Pleo has a broken neck as well, You can allways make a brace of sorts yourself if you don't want to buy one but IMR's are very reasonable and look nice as well, Just because a Pleo has a broken neck, they are far from having their life over as a Pleo. I even have a Pleo, Poor Humpty who still runs but has been literally cut open or gutted by the last person who owned him and has a broken neck as well, but I am trying to fix him with the help of Crewella. If you love Pleos, you love Pleos.                        RWM
