Yes good lighting can make a big difference.  Even if you think it is light enough where she is you can always try shining a torch on her face and see if her behavior changes at all.  If she becomes happier with the light shining on her face then she may be "scared of the dark".  Many of us have had this issue, me included, even in regular lighting.  It seems may of our pleos are very sensitive to light levels.  If it is the lighting there is a patch that you can use to switch off the scared of the dark function in her operating system.  It does require a micro SD card to use it though.

Good luck.  Try the ignoring her thing for a battery cycle or two and see how it goes.

If you could take a video of her for us and post it here maybe we could take a look and see if any of us here can spot any reasons why she might not be walking yet.

I'm glad you got her to finally walk! My pleo RB took a short time to walk but then wouldn't learn his name until nearly a week later.

I'm so happy she decided to finally take those first steps. ;D
It does just go to show that pleo rb's are all a little different in personality and you really can't predict just how long it will take for them to do anything. :P  I have two rb's, Kermy the pink and Norbit the green.  Norbit is much more adventurous than Kermy and walks around a lot more than her.  He also learned to walk a lot faster than she did.
Congratulations on her learning her name too. ;D

Congratulations on getting her to walk and learn her name! I have been lazy, ( I know it is true, but with many Pleos, I have been interacting with all of them... :)) and I still have to try and teach Baby her name, I will try and do it this weekend or before if things go ok. Pleo Rb do learn at different speeds and some are faster learners than others, and some are more verbal and some it seems are more adventuresome and do more walking, though none walk as much as the regular Older Pleos.
Looking forward to seeing more videos. :)

Hello to all.
I'm sorry I have not written a long time.
I still have the old problem.

My Pleo is not running. He's since I have it run maybe 4 times. But only five steps or so. And since a few weeks he will not run anymore.
If I ignore him hes not running. and with the training leaf it does not work well
Should I send him to possibly repair

please help me :(

Hello Luna, I am so sorry to hear of your Pleo problems, is this with your Rb or your Ugobe Pleo, the older one?If it is a RB, the Pink one, then I am sure there are people here who can help sort out her problems, If it is with the older ugobe model, can you be more spefic on what is wrong, why he or she will not walk talk or what and what happened when you turn him her one? Also if it is a older Ugobe Pleo, do you think it could be the battery that is why Pleo is not running or walking?Do you have a green old orginal battery that is in your older Pleo? If it is a older Pleo and old battry, it could just be that you need a new battery, Can you tell us exactly what is going on with your Pleo and we can try to get your Pleo working again. Good luck and I am sure someone here can give you some good advice.

This sounds to me like it is a personality thing rather than a physical problem.  You could try using the Change RB program to change some of your pleo rb's personality traits to try to make her a more active adventurous pleo so that she will walk around more.  My original pleo rb Kermit did not walk much.  I was lucky if she would take one or two steps in a full battery cycle.  Most battery cycles she did not walk at all.  But she was happy enough.  It was just part of her personality.  I hope this helps. :)

thank you kat

But I just think the nice thing on the pleo is that he can move around and explore the environment
and how do I use the program to rb?
where can I find the program

You should find the program under the downloads section here on the forum.  That is one of the tabs at the top of this page.  There should be instructions there too on how to use it.  I'm sure with a little tweaking you should be able to make her more active.  I've never used the change rb myself but I know others here have so some one here should be able to help you out if you can't work out how to use it.  I do know that you need to download it and then stick it on a micro sd card which you put into your pleo rb.  Good luck and let us know how you go. :)

Woah, hold up there, don't go playing with any software yet.

Do you mean the little plastic/rubber training leaf? What are you trying to do with it? The only thing that is used for is the tracking which is really difficult and pretty pointless really...

Are you trying to name your Pleo? For that you need to use the Pleo RB card, the white one with the picture of a pink and blue Pleo on it.

Don't be worried about not walking, Pleakley hardly walks a step either, it's just the personality.

Hey IMR,  The problem here as I understand it is that her pleo has a personality that doesn't walk much and she really wants it to walk more.  As far as I know the only way to change that is to use the change rb program.   :)

Hi Luna,

As has been said, it does sounds to me as though your Pleo RB is working correctly but just has a more 'laid back' personality.  If Fiby is powering up OK and responding to you, then the software should be OK.  You mentioned light, and some of us have had a problem with RBs in low light levels, but it is VERY obvious if that is the case as the RB is very unhappy most of the time, crying and trembling when the light level is low.  If Fiby seems happy, and you also think the room is bright, then I doubt that is the problem here.

You could try downloading the 'scared of the dark' patch onto as SD card from the downloads section , but I doubt it will help.  As IMR says, be very careful before deciding to try to alter the software and make sure you understand what's involved before trying anything on Fiby.  We're here to help, so don't worry about asking questions.

Don't worry - your English is fine! :D

hello at all

sometimes she is crying .. but not often.
Her Name has she learned. How can I teach her to walk more?
For 5 weeks because they did not go .. :-(
and she was also very expensive, I was unhappy when she is not running.
Because I think it's very nice when a pleo explores the environment.
My Ugobe Pleo runs very often.
