I think they just got that up very recently. However yeah, the forum isn't up yet. I got a page that said the page can't be reached and shows a pic of a sleepy Pleo.

Hi Siren. How's your iguana? Glad you are here! :)

Well, no one ever claimed him. With all the kids in my house, I didn't feel it was safe for him or them to live here. My cousin and her 4 children, ages 3-16 live here, and they aren't really good kids, I didn't trust that they wouldn't bother him. I could see the 3 year old would probably hurt him because he's not gentle with animals. And then of course the iguana could hurt them with his teeth and tail. If not for them living here right now, I would have kept Koopa. But one of my friends who lives a block away, she has a bunch of pets too, 2 good kids who treat animals nicely and they said Koopa would have run of the house, so he lives there. They built him a cage....or I should say, they took up half the living room to build him a big enclosure so when they aren't home or sleeping, he would be there. I can't call it a cage...its a room. Its awesome. He is VERY happy. I am also real happy, because I still get to visit him. So he is doing fantastic :)

The community pages are back up.   :) But I couldn't post a new entry . . .  :-\

Maybe they'll be back up by Christmas.  I just can't figure out which year . . . . ;D

On closer examination, about half of the pages from the pleoworld main menu don't work yet.  I can't understand what the problem is getting their site back up.  :-\

Hi and welcome Krystald. Have you named your pleo yet? One of my favorites is the tada trick. If you touch your Pleos left front leg and the front of the back right one you will see your pleo lift both of those legs together. Don't expect to get your pleo to do it perfectly at first. May take a bit of time. :)

Hi guys !

It took me a while to find this place.
What on earth is going on over at pleoworld ? It would be nice to think that the forums and the download page may reappear sometime soon with the new life os update and pdk ? -- In my dreams.
If they are down over the holiday period when people may be buying pleos for Christmas - well, that is either bad planning or retail suicide.

I'm sad to say it, but usually when a thing like this happens, the company is dead.....Or dying. No way a healthy company would let this happen for more than a day, two at most, and certainly not when Pleo is their only product and it's X-mas.

Our only hope is that some other company will make some cool software for Pleo in the future.

The same day I bought my Pleo, I had a bad feeling about Ugobe once I got home and starting browsing the web, but by then it was to late and I had allready bought it..... Had I known then what I know now, i wouldn't have bought it!

Umm.... wouldn't that be a self-fulfilling prophecy?  If people don't trust Ugobe, then they are definitely going to go out of bussiness!

Glad to see you found us GSDmum and rockybulwinkle!

But you're right.  It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.  But that's why it's suicide for Ugobe to be down right here at Christmas!  This has got to be killing their sales.  But even if they are going under, you would think they would have gotten at least the basic site back up in a day or two.  Forget the forums or the community pages.  The download, FAQ, discovery pages are all static.  Should have been an incredibly easy move for those pages, and that would really help bolster their business image . . .

As I mentioned in another topic, IF (and I hope they don't) go under, I hope they at least have the decency to release the OS to the community . . .  That way somebody could work on developing enhancements for Pleo.

That's the best we could hope for if they went down the Great Toilet Tube of Life, I guess. I would be very upset if they did - but it's a hard world out there right now.
But as you say, having their site down - which to be fair even a moderately intelligent schoolkid with some html and web knowledge could rectify given the chance and the sources - is really really bad for business.

Welcome GSDMum, nice to see you again, and Welcome rockybullwinkle, nice to meet you!

I agree that the idea to move servers at christmas time was a poorly thought out plan and I have no idea why they are taking so long to get things back up and running!
Ugobe are a niche company and we can only hope that they pull themselves together, however it looks doubtful that they will ever produce a second product!
I agree with mike that we can only hope that they make the OS code public if they go under.

Hi Gsdmum and Rockybulwinkle. So glad you were able to find us. We may all get back together again.  I've missed everyone on Pleoworld.

I called ugobe when they went down and was told they'd be up in three to four hours. Been a looooong three to four hours. :'(
I'm still hopeful that they will be back up with the forum and all soon.
Las, Having a Pleo is so special regardless of the future programs. How could anything be as cute?

plogs still not editable.  Can't add, and my avatar is gone. :(  But they are slowly making progress . . .

Maybe they're reading these forums and respond as we complain!

Kinda like Peeky and Penelopie.  Bob gets all the recognition, but Emmy does most of the modeling.  Bob is showing his age . . .   Not as bad as Peeky, though.
