Greetings from Germany!
« on: April 03, 2011, 03:22:31 PM »

Why, hello there!
I'm Collie from Germany and I'm planning to buy my first Pleo soon, but there are still so many questions... :)

So I joined this forum hoping to meet other Pleo enthusiasts and hopefully have my questions answered.
I've known of Pleo since he first came out, but after I decided to watch some videos a few weeks ago I found some of the Pleo rb in pink - and fell deeply in love!

Since I live in Germany I'm afraid I don't have many choices where to order one...unfortunately gimmedigi.com (hope that doesn't count as advertising?) doesn't ship to where I live, and I really don't know where to find that "Chinete" I read in the forums several times.
I've found another site but don't know if it's trustworthy...and I even want those extra foods too!

I hope you can help me recommend a place to securely buy a healthy pink Pleo rb! :)

Greetings, Collie

Welcome to the Forum!  I fell in love with the pink RB as well and bought mine from gimmidigi in January.  She is a lot of fun!  I think for the most part, most of those here have been happy with gimmiedigi.  I think there have been a few problems, but I believe they were resolved.  Did you contact gimmiedigi to see why they don't ship to you?  Perhaps that would help.  I don't believe anyone here has purchased anything from accessory jack, the website that you mentioned.  I believe someone posted a thread about them a little while ago, and no forum members had ordered from them.  Sorry that I cannot be of more help.  There may be others that can help you contact Chinatete, as I was unable to get their address from their website as well.  Like I said, I would try to contact gimmiedigi through their website.  Good luck getting your Pink RB! :)

Hi Collie and welcome to the forums. :)
I'm not sure where would be best for you to buy a pink rb as most people have bought theirs from Gimmedigi.  Have you tried emailing them to ask if they could ship to you?  They do seem to be very helpful and I think they would try to if they could.
Accessory jack is another website you could try.  I don't know that anyone here has purchased from them yet though.
I bought my pink one direct from Chinatete but the shipping costs were extremely high as they are not set up to ship world wide.  There doesn't seem to be a web site buying link option for Chinatete but they do have phone numbers on their site you can call.  I found an email address for their senior marketing manager on the bottom of one of their web pages and so emailed her to sort out getting my pink baby.  This was in October last year before they were available elsewhere.
Her email address if you would like it is
josie@chinatete.net
I do think you will find the shipping cost will be too high from them though.  It cost me $150.00US to ship to Australia from them.  For the green one I got on Pleoworld with all the accessories coming from America to Australia it only cost $90 for the shipping.  Chinatete is in Hong Kong and that is much closer to Australia than America is.
Anyway good luck with getting your pleo and welcome to the forums. :)

Hi, Collie and welcome to Bob the Pleo Forums! I've been a member here since February Second and I've soaked up Pleo knowledge like a spunge. Anyway I'm afraid I can't help you much with the Gimmidigi bit as I ordered from Pleoworld, but best of luck getting a pink Pleo!

Hello and welcome Collie! :)

When I bought from Gimmedigi  checked first who I should contact if I had any problems, and they gave me both Chinatete's details and pointed me at the Innvo website.  It might be worth doing the same for Accessoryjack?

Well, I only joined a day ago and you already helped me out a lot!

I wrote an enquiry to gimmedigi, and they sent me a positive reply including screenshots of how to select a german address :)
So in the next few days I'm going to spend some money on a sweet pink dinosaur...I'm so happy right now!

Hi Collie!  I am so glad that Gimmiedigi was able to help you out.  I hope you have as much fun with your pink RB as I am having with mine.  Let us know when she arrives! We like to welcome all baby dinos to their new homes! :)

Welcome! Glad to hear that your pink baby is on the way! I personally, would not buy from acessoryjack, their picture of the 2010 pleo is not a real photo, it is a picture of a very early prodotype design, I personally think that they should 1. know that and 2. be responsible for what pictures they use, it basically means they don't know what they are selling. This would be just my side of the matter, no offense to anyone who bought from acessoryjack.
