Just wanted to let people know - I'm going to be working on a project for a while and you may see odd documents appearing in the gallery, some of which you may well not be able to open. Please bear with me!

Speaking of curious minds . . . for those who might be curious, the number in the gallery button is is NOT how many people are viewing the gallery, it is the number of images in the gallery you haven't taken the time to look at yet . . . so most of us have our work cut out for us!

If I understand correctly does this mean there are as of 1:21 p.m, pst, that there are 1, 852 photos that Noone has looked at yet, and is this the total from the start of the gallery opening up? Geesh, that is an awful lof of images, Some people could have posted photos two years ago and never had anyone look at them, pretty alarming to say the least..

No. It's the number of photos the individual on the account has not looked at yet, judging by the fact that I've never seen a picture without at least one view, and our numbers differ greatly.

sorry Allo, ,can you explain in more general layman terms, I do not understand what the numbers on the top, it says Gallery (1852) so what does that number mean. Pretend I am a five year old and then maybe I will understand how to decipher what it means. Thanks,

Update: I just went to the gallery and noticed for the first time that there are lots of pictures that I have seen, most all of the ones that are new in fact and the first ones of Eddy, the lovely pleo Rb with amber eyes and brown patches arouond the eyes, I made a comment a couple of days ago, so why is that showing up at "not seen"? Lots of these that have comments, I did make some comments. There are a couple that I had not seen as of yet, but most of them I have. so I am not sure what deternmines if a photo is seen or not, doesn't it show" Views"?
Confused again.....

RWM, the number is the pictures you have not clicked. They could be old images you've never noticed or something, or since now when you click a picture in a gallery it just gets bigger instead of loading the comment page and details. Try clicking "Unseen" while in the gallery, it has a little eye next to it. The pictures that show should be pictures you havent clicked on.

Is anyone else having trouble loading more pics into the gallery? I had a look last night and the add a picture button has disappeared. Any idea when this function will be activated again or has it just been moved to a different spot and I didn't see it? I have been away with work for a couple of days so sorry if this has already been discussed and I just missed it.

As in, the number varies from user to user. It is the amount of pictures YOU have not looked at, not the amount EVERYONE has not looked at.

Ooh, grumpy's right - I do have my work cut out for me then for sure ... I apparently have 2340 images to look through still!

I knew I hadn't seen them all but that many?! Wow!

Well, it took me several hours but I got all the unseen photos seen and many of them I had seen so I still don't know they were marked Unseen, as I had actually made comments.? Oh well, besides there were a couple of MY photos, from NOva and RedwoodsMama that were ones I had submitted, so how does it happen that there could be photos that I haven't seen?

Guess they were ones my Pleo babies took while I was asleep , only explanation..

Anyway, hours later and lots of more comments they have all been seen. There were at least a couple hundred I had not seen, as I was not a member yet, so I am glad I got the chance to see what I was missing, so thanks for bringing it to Light and giving me somthing to do for a couple of hours, besides Pots and pans and computer work.....oh, and Now I can try to get that baby of myne to learn her name again.

In an attempt to update the gallery to support crewella's new project, I have been chasing down bugs in the gallery software. And it's like one of those old cartoons with the guy trying to plug the leaks in the dam. You know, where he plugs one hole and three more leaks start, so he goes to plug those and the original one starts leaking again, so he has to plug it and two more spring up . . . I fix one problem, which causes another. I fix it and it causes a third. I fix the third problem and it re-breaks the 1st . . .

Which reminds me of an old joke . . . Two fish swim into a concrete wall. One turns to the other and says "Dam!"

Of course it's all your fault. Just because I'm the one who's been butchering the code for the last week or so is no reason to blame ME!

And for those not as industrious as RWM, there is a "Mark all as seen" button.

How do I delete album in my gallery? Yesterday when I was trying to post an image I had to create two albums that are not needed!

Gee, the only way I've found to delete an album is through the admin panel... If you tell me the album names, I'll delete them for you...
