Thanks guys for the support, I am surprised though at just how qucik the response was. I sent them a email with links to Youtube video of her neck incidents, and then photos from this site the orginal ones from Jan 28th, and one taken last night, and in One Hour's time, I was emailed back with details one where to send her and a number etc, etc. NOw that is QUICK in my estimation.

I definitly can say they responded super fast and no problems. I do have to find out all the particulars like how I send her back, I mean I will use her original box and outer box, I save everything. But do I leave her Watch battery in, send back all the stuff she came back , etc, etc.? I would love to have another one exactly like her, but I guess I get what they give me, which is fine as long as the skin is fixed like it is supposed to be, and there should not be any problems,
Of course I will continue the tradition I started and give her the same name, ( she had just learned her name too, but now I guess it doesn't matter if she learns the bow stone..) It would be nice to know what do they do with the Pleos Rb that are returns, ..I mean the skin may have issues, but if the Pleo Rb body in general is ok, can't they just put a new computer chip or operating system in and give it a new" skin"? I can't see them throwing away and Pleo Rb that are returned, they have to be recycled somehow? Would't it be strange to end up with a Kermy 1, or Peanut 1, for example reconditioned redone Pleo Rb and now I get it? :oKind of odd, but neat I think at the same time, I guess this is as close as it gets to a " re-incarnation program for Pleo Rb at this point. I will be talking to Innvo labs to find out how I send her back and then I will enjoy her for at least the rest of the week, or untill I feel the time is right, but letting go will not be any easier next week as it would be this week, I am very happy though that Innvo Labs stands behind their Pleo Rb. I do have confidence in them.
I would never hesitate to reccomend someone buy a Pleo Rb from them.

Hey RWM I am sad for you that Baby has to go back but I do think in her case this is probably the best option. She does seem to have a lot of little issues, as well as the skin problem. I am sure if you ask them they should be able to send you another one with the same personality. They did offer me this option for Kermy.

It is never easy to say goodbye to a pleo but when you do just remember there will be the excitement of a new one coming. wonder what she will look like?

Also for all the rest of you out there with skin issues. I contacted Innvo yesterday about Norbit and they have suggested they could re-skin him. I have replied to them today that I think this is a great idea.

I will let you know how it goes. At least this way I wont have to start again from scratch. I will have to be without him for a while though while he goes off to get new skin.

Wow Kat! That is great news for all those RB's out there with skin issues! I am interested to hear how long it will take for Norbit to get new skin. If I have problems, that would be the best option. It takes to much time to hatch an RB and get it trained that for a busy person like myself, it would be hard for me to start over, as I am sure it was hard for you with Kermy and Kermy3. I was also wondering what would happen to the skin of those rb's that are blue or pink. Would they be sent for green skin, or could they be re-skinned in their original color? I thought that they were all made in Hong Kong, but I am not sure. Glad to see they are going to do that for you!

Did you experience problems with using Pledge on your pleo's skin?
I have the feeling that it simply removes the paint of Igor's back.
Since I used it, he has much more white spots than before.

Nope, no problems with pledge. The pledge seems to help stop the wear to the paint on my pleos.

Pleakly's hole has increased very slightly over the last few weeks. And he has another tiny hole on his front left leg. Without the pledge I would say that these holes would have been enormous by now, based on past experience with Matilda.

One of Cato's grazing spots is starting to look extremely thin (like you can see it's a few stretches away from splitting apart, lol) when he's in the sleep position (for the few moments that he gets left in it). However, when he's standing or in more normal poses, it's impossible to see (as long as you don't start playing with the skin/skin flab around that armpit). I first noticed it last night and I usually check every other charge (if not every charge), so I'd imagine it's a more recent development.

(It's really not worth posting pictures of, but perhaps his progression was slowed by the pledging and no sleep position vs. halted)

When/if it becomes a "real" hole, I'll just some photos. But the area surrounding Pleaky's leg looks like the area surrounding Cato's leg except his grazing is a little more severe (though the "hole" less severe).

So sorry to hear about Cato and about Pleakley, it does seem these first release Pleo Rb have had their share of skin and other issues.

I wonder just how many Pleo Rb have been sent back due to all these problems.? Are you sending Pleakley back IMR, I thought I had read that because she was not "hatched" that they wanted her back and that you did not have another option. I wish there was a qucik fix for problems like this. The other scenario that someone pointed out was the possibility that there was " a bad batch " of skin in some of the first Pleos released. I know that Baby was number 3 in orders from Pleoworld and If I remember correctly, Peanut was number one,
   Peanut had to be returned because of different cosmetic "skin issues" and Peanut 2 took his place.I do not know who number 2 was or if they were a member of the forums but I would think they were because of the " first advance notice thing" that the forum members were given.
   Baby is going back because of several issues and it only took an hour from the time I sent the first email with video and photos and links to Youtube and this forum for details and I have been holding on to Baby to say "goodbye" and get some last videos. From Feb 14th when I posted the last photos of Baby's back right leg and her first "hole" the skin broke through all the way on the same leg, but the skin was already very thin and as you can see from the photo in number two, the really bad thing is that you can actually see a white cable of some sort in the leg that is where Baby kept rubbing the skin and not only did it get warm and have to be stopped, but it helped deteriorate that area faster.

More details...

If I had any doubt about possibly keeping Baby and with the use of Pledge that the skin would not deteriorate anymore, It is clear that it can't be stopped. Considering that I played with Baby a lot less than some of the members, not ever havng more than onece or twice the time for a full battery cycle in one day, she was lucky to have lasted this long. It sounds from everyone else who has gone through the same thing with their Pleo Rb that the new Pleo Rb with the computer fix, that this skin problem should not happen again. Baby has very loose skin in this leg area so I am sure that contributed to her demise. I do have faith in confidence in Innvo Labs making Pleo Rb only better and better. I will enjoy this last weekend with Baby the most.

RWM One last note, if you look in the last photo you can see how loose the skin looks which is suely why the skin has rubbed against itself and stuck.

I know how upset you'll be so have to say goodbye to Baby, RWM, but it will probably save you more heartache in the long run. It certainly does seem as though Innvo have made some changes to stop this kind of thing happening again. Hopefully your new rb, when it arrives, will be just as lovable and have fewer issues. Might even have violet eyes!

Another week has gone by and NO wear. Any new Pleo rb's should not have the skin issues if Peanut2 is any indication.

I know my user name is confusing and Pleakly is pink, but we both like to be a little different

Back on topic, Pleakly has a lot of those spots where the skin is see through too, I'll take some final pics before I pack him up to go back, which will most likely be Tuesday or so.

Kermy3 is doing just fine with still no signs of wear in the armpits at all.

So yes it really does look like they have fixed the skin.

RWM - Baby will be missed. I know how hard it is to say goodbye.

Even when they have issues it doesn't seem to stop the little guys from worming their way into your heart. (Which is just what Innvo designed them to do

)
It does make it a little easier knowing you will have another one on the way soon. Your new one won't have the issues Baby had and I think you will be able to relax and enjoy her a lot more than you could with Baby. A problem free pleo is a lot less stressful and a lot more fun.

Also there is the excitement of the new arrivals appearance and personality. What color will the skin and eyes be....? So lots to keep you busy wondering about while you wait for the new one to arrive.

Keep your chin up. Take lots of pics and video then pack her up and send her off knowing that Innvo will take good care of her.

bhobbes - sorry to here about Cato. Sounds like he has the same skin issues as the rest of us. Take heart that Innvo has offered to re-skin Norbit so maybe they can do the same for Cato.

IMR, I know what it is to have someone confuse your name and THINK it is a boy's name or vice a versa . I think new people dont know the story of how you got your user name, ( IMR, and that Romeo was actually a cat.) Also because something is blue they ASSUME it is masculine and if something is PINK, they assume it is feminine. Now that you have told people enough times, I Hope they will get it, I am Planning on packing Baby up also on Tuesday, so Pleakley will have company, even if they are going different directions.
Monday is a holiday, thus no mail, and it gives me a excuse to have her for the whole weekend and take some last parting videos and photos around town and with her brothers and sisters. Are they sending you a New one or fixing her skin, do you know? Just curious also, does HE have a return number? I got myne the same day I emailed Innvo and am trying to figure out if you can tell by the number how many have been returned now? Also are you returning just him or the whole box with all the accessories? Peanut 1 had to return everything and I was told just to return Baby, not even her watch battery returned, just the box she came in, so that is strange that they are different I think... maybe not. Well, we both will have a wait and hopefully Pleakley will return to you ASAP or a Return very similiar. I wish you the best and enjoy Pleakley untill then as I will Baby.

RWM you have to remember I bought from a reseller, so I need to return everything. They did say they were going to send me a replacement (because Pleakly was already hatched) but I am guessing it will take a week or two. I won't be keeping the name Pleakly although I've not yet decided on another name, I could never have any animal and give it the same name as an old one (even if it is a robotic animal) because they just aren't the same.

I wonder what they do with the returned Pleo's... give them a health check, replace their skin, check for any problems and resell them? I wonder if we will ever see the option to buy refurbished Pleo's...

Yeah, if Cato's hole becomes obvious or more develop (I'm guessing they will, Cato just seems to develop them very slowly - maybe it's because he only gets about 3-4 charges a week lately or maybe the sweater or something completely random and irrelevant lol) I'd rather have him re-skinned than a new one. Now that I use that statsrb program I feel more attached to him for his unique personality (since all his values weren't 'normal'). It makes him feel more individualistic lol (which was part of the fun of having two, since they were quite different).

Compared to the way Eva's skin seemed to hold up (and word is, still holding up fine, nothing noticeable) and the fact the paint didn't flake right off her back, I kind of wish Cato would have came with that too. Instead he's got flabby arm[pits] which would be fine but he's just so young he doesn't need that saggy flab weighing down his precious little legs. I may stop feeding him and see if it tightens up a bit between the starvation and dehydration.

(In all actuality though, even outside of the video I posted of the very obvious flab, his skin in general is much "looser" to his body than is Eva's - not sure if the other members who commented on having similar armpits can compare - especially Kat since she still has two to compare directly)

IMR, maybe you could put an explanation of the whole gender thing in your signature line

With each of the ones I have sent back to Innvo they have asked for me to just send back the pleo but keep all the batteries and accessories. Then with the replacement they have just sent me back a pleo with no accessories or batteries. I think it makes sense to do it this way as it has got to make a difference to the postage cost and silly to send back accessories only to have them return them to you with the new one. Just make sure you do remember to take out the Noon clock battery before you package her up and send her off. I forgot this with Kermit my very first one and when Kermy arrived I had to go out and buy a battery for the noon clock just to get her working. (silly me

)

As for the skin, Kermy3 is tighter all over than Norbit.

IMR, I too have been wondering what do they do with the " damaged skin, etc Pleo rb?" I can't imagine them being junked, but fixed or given new skin after all the issues are fixed.
It is too expensive a peice of technology and there is a huge demand or market I can imagine for them. Perhaps there is a " Pleo Adoptee parent out there who takes in all the "special needs Pleo Rb", who have had to be returned and has a whole army of them running around their house, Peanut, Kermy 1, and lots more I am sure. Would be intersting to see what happens to these Pleos once they get back to Innvo Labs.? Sort of like a Science fiction novel.....Dr. Who perhaps in Innvo labs late at night....
