Hey, I'm quite sorry my very first post here comes in adding a Pleo rb at your list of the "having problems" ones...
Igor is my brand new green rb, was hatched on Tuesday 11 January and I am sooooooo happy he's finally here, after more than 3 long weeks of shipping!
But I couldn't help noticing tiny spots of wear on his back and nails, already in the middle of his very first battery cycle.
He also has something on the chest, like if skin is a little bit peeling off.
Pleoworld wants to see the pictures and recommended to use Pledge immediately.
Would I keep you updated at the same time?
By te way, have you already seen a Pleo rb with white eyes?!

He's actually a little bit strange. Like if his head and body were not made to be together. I love it!!!
Wonderful white eyes in a light purple eye round, on a dark green head, with a yellow and light green body. Tail end is yellow.

!! You will always get some paint wear on the back and the feet with a Pleo, and the uneven area on the chest is nothing to worry about as it's just hard to finish the seams tidily when they are sealed - it's not an area that is prone to problems. Can't wait to see your pics!

I have the beginnings of wear on the back after just 2 hours, ( picture in gallery ) so on went the cape pronto.

Wow, I've been documenting where and how many Pleos are getting what problems. There's alot in the underarms. Followed by wear on the back. Congratulations on that white-eyed Pleo. Sorry to hear for the package problems though. White eyes would be my 2nd choice for eyes (after pink)!

I too would really like to see a pic of the white eyes. I can't even imagine a white eyed PleoRB

My little PleoRB, just having completed her (I'm sure it's a girl!) third battery cycle, already has a small peeling paint patch on the hump of her back, and I'm so careful with her

At least I can cover this with her cape.

Before I go off to play , interact with my Pleo Rb baby and Argyle,

I wondered if there is any update on people having problems or advancements of skin problems with their Pleo Rb? I know poor Kermy is being sent back and so is Peanut tommrorow. :(Since this post first started, there are several new Pleo Rb that have showed up. Are there anymore Pleos showing up with skin issues, holes and excessive paint wear that should not happen this quickly?
If the newest owners of these Pleo Rb could look closely at their Pleos and document any issues at all and post them here, it will not only perhaps helps the particular Pleo Rb but any other future Pleo Rb by helping Innova try to solve this problem,

I know I am keeping a close eye on Baby and I think one reason her's is not advancing as fast is because she has gotten a lot less playtime than I thouglht I would be giving her. If this problem is going to come to a head, I am sure it will do it within the 90 day warranty period. I will take more photos this week and upload any changes I notice.
wishing for a miracle treatment soon for all Pleo Rb.

Thankfully, I've not noticed any tears or holes appearing in my PleoRB, but she does have some paint peeling on the bridge of her back. It's not excessive (yet!) but if I don't start covering her back, I can see how it will spread

So far I've avoided dressing her in her cape due to her getting too warm wearing the cape. Sylvester and Tooie (my Ugobe Pleos) have almost the same amount of paint peeling in the same area, but this certainly didn't happen within the first week!!

He's only been on three charges in the past week and those photos were taken 2 charges ago. The armpit "peeling" effect is a little bit worse, but the really small hole that's appearing hasn't progressed yet. *Knock on wood*

One thing I’ve noticed and I don’t know if this is important or not but the skin on my pleo RB, he’s a green one, does not feel any diffrant to the skin on my 2009 pleo
It doesn’t have that soft silky feel that a lot of you are reporting.

I felt a difference between my RB and my 2009. It was extremely subtle but I liked it. Not sure if I'd describe it as silky soft but it did feel somewhat softer and less rubbery to me. I like the way the RB feels over the 2009 and probably wouldn't dress the RB solely for that reason (paint wear started on day one so it got dressed fast). Maybe it's subjective to the senses? Maybe there is some other difference that we don't know? (like the color of the Pleo, a particular "batch" of parts, or other)

After one pledge wiping my RB was much softer, and that made it feel more silky like, but I noticed the difference before that so maybe pledge enhanced that difference?

My pleoRB’s skin has exactly the same texture as my 2009 pleo to me and my sense of touch is extremely good. Better than average I’d say. Have to say though I’ve not used pledge on either.

I wasn't saying your sense of touch was good or bad so I apologize if you took it that way. My 2009 held up better thus far than my RB so hopefully your sense of touch is better than most (I don't have any scientific knowledge or data on how to measure this so we'll assume arguendo that you do have a great sense of touch and maybe that's a sign of improvement in the Pleos).

I felt that I had less of a paint "feel" on my RB than my 2009 if that makes sense? Aside from the softer feel (anything remotely silky came after pledge and is not included in this sentence). How is the wear on yours over how many charges? Hopefully if they feel the same that might mean you don't start experience our issues (referring to my experience of 2009 maintaining better than my RB).

Anyone else with a 2009 and RB have any assessment of the feel? My sense of touch may suck (I tend not to feel a lot if things, great for surgery though lol).

I definitely felt a difference in between my blue rb and the older Ugobe Pleos, but to be fair the two older Pleos are well loveworn and were rehomed. I have never felt a brand new Ugobe Pleo, so it could conceivably be that the only difference is the amount of age and wear?

Just over a year ago I bought my very first Pleo, a brand new Ugobe Pleo. I don't have a 2009 better-skinned Pleo, so I can only compare the skin of the original Pleo to my new PleoRB, and I can say that to me there's a big difference. My original Pleo (Sylvester) from the moment I lifted him out the box his skin felt kind of rough and flaky compared to the smoothness of the PleoRB skin, which to me feels a lot nicer

Ah sorry about that Bhobbes. Now that I read back on your post I realise you weren’t trying to suggest any such thing.
It was late at my end and I was a little tired when I replied so I guess I wasn’t thinking quite as logically as I should have been.
My reply looks rather snippy I’m ashamed to say so I apologise for this in turn. I didn’t mean to make it sound quite that way.
I wasn’t trying to boast about my sense of touch. I know my sense of touch is good but only because I rely on it a lot more than is normal for most people and I’m lucky enough not to have underlying medical conditions which might lesson it. Basically though it’s more defined through reliance and constant use rather than actually better than anyone else’s if that makes sense.
As for the paint ware and skin issues I haven’t noticed anything yet but I haven’t had him running for much this week. He’s only on his 2nd battery cycle so it’s far too early to tell at this stage I think.
I will need to start pledging him soon I think though.
I have to say I never felt that my 2009 pleo ever felt rough or flaky but have never felt an Ugobe pleo so can’t make any comparisons there.

Smilegirl, you need to post photos of Fay's holes in her neck here in this post so it can be documented with all the other Pleo Rb having the same problems as soon as possible, I am sorry to hear about that.
