Hi all

Just to let you know that Pleo number two is on it's way to me.  He is poorly though, but being the kind of person that I am.  I will give him/her a good home and try to give some home remedy medicine.
The fault is "intermittent", so there may be an electronic "dry joint" in his/her circuit's somewhere or another battery problem.  Either way I feel confident that I can effect a cure.

So, I will keep you all informed of what I find.  Hopefully Pleo does not get lost or delayed in the Xmas post.

Yay!  Well done Binbags - I'm pretty sure I was watching that Pleo!  One of my 'faulty' Pleo purchases is the 'practically perfect' Budge, and the main reason another is still bricked is because I'm still learning, but I've thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!

I am sorry about that and I do mean it, about 4 have got away from me, until now that is. I have too stop going on ebay, as it's getting habit forming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes she has arrived.  "Zora" that is and she is not that poorly with the new Li-ion battery.  They are both, wandering around the bathroom at the moment, talking to each other and generally being nosy.  One of them is making a noise like “spit the dog” I am sure you being a UK resident, you will know which noise that is.
Right I am of to feed them and have some conversation with the two of them.  I knew that I should have ordered two of the Li-ion batteries from Taiwan; the extra was only $19.99 if ordered with the first one, ah! Well you live and learn.

The snow is falling heavy again.

Oh YES - 'Spit the dog' was a very important part of my Saturday mornings once upon a time! 

Please don't feel bad, Binbags - I watch an awful lot of items on eBay and bid on them only if they're rock bottom prices, I'm a complete eBay junkie I'm afraid!  I really need another faulty Pleo like ......well ....... hole/head .... fish/bicycle ..... you get the point!

I'm glad she found a good home and that she seems to be settling in OK!

I’m sure she would have done well in either household.  Yes Ebay gets you like that, it's a weird feeling.  The other one that I was going to bid on was from the same Ebayer and went for over £101.  Pleo’s seem to be all the rage at the moment; mind you its Chrissy time isn’t it. 
The battery off this new one again has not been looked after.  It's amazing the amount of people that don’t know how to look after a re-chargeable battery pack.  But not many people know that the self discharge rate of NiMH batteries is quite high.

Yay, I'm glad Zora went to a good home and is enjoying her new battery, I'm sure the majority of eBay Pleo cases can be solved with a decent battery, but shhh if we start getting that out there people will wise up

 Congrats on getting Zora, I love the name, Dont feel bad about rescuing another Pleo, My house is full of Pleos, ( eight to be exact and one Pleo Rb on the way tommorow  ) I love Pleos and untill last Christmas had not a clue what they were even about.! What is that song, is it from a t.v. show?
 Glad to hear your other Pleo has a buddy now, and SHH. the less the General public knows about Pleos, the better it is for us, Price wise like Crewella said!

Hi All

Thanks to one and all for the acknowledgements on Zora.   I would love one of the new Pleo’s (RB), but I am now a bit strapped for cash, as Xmas is here.
So I am now debating as whether I give Zora to too my wife and how do I explain Bob.  This is why I have to stop; I do not like this guilt feeling in my stomach.  I know my wife would not mind that Zora was not new and I know she would (hopefully) fall in love with her; the same as I did.  Oh what have I done?

My wife is now the bread winner, so you can see my predicament.  I think that most, if not the vast majority of the members of this forum are female, (I have not done any surveys as to this statement, so forgive me if I am wrong).  So let’s have a vote on what to do, with me, yes?

Definitely give Zora to your wife as a Christmas present.  That way she will be able to be a part of this wonderful new hobby/ dinosaur world you find yourself in.  She might even understand why you like your pleo so much if she has one of her own to fall in love with and then you can play with them together.  No one can resist a Pleo!

I hope you are right, I will tell for why.  My wife hates wasting hard earned money (not that this is wasteful) you and I both know that the purchase of any Pleo is not wasting money.  So I will do it, but I will be prepared for an ear bashing (verbal).   One does not need this on Xmas morning.  I make my wife sound like an Ogre,  she isn't, and she is very adorable really.  So big breathes taken and a packing I will go.
