TAROS 2010: A Platform for the Robotics Community in the UK, Europe and WorldwideTAROS is a single track conference aimed at the presentation and discussion of the latest results and methods in autonomous robotics research and applications. Taros offers a friendly environment for robotics researchers and industry to take stock and plan future progress.
TAROS welcomes senior researchers and research students alike, and specifically provides opportunities for research students and young research scientists to present their work to the scientific community.
TAROS is a platform for robotics researchers with a wide range of interests from the UK, Europe and worldwide. TAROS welcomes paper submissions on a wide range of topics related to the principles and practice of robotics.
TAROS started as TIMR (Towards Intelligent Mobile Robots) in Manchester in 1997, 1999, 2001 and Bristol in 2003. Form 2004 it became an annual conference with a wider remit "Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems". TAROS took place in Essex (2004), Imperial College (2005), Surrey (2006), Aberystwyth (2007), Edinburgh (2008) . The 10th TAROS conference was hosted in 2009 by the University of Ulster at Londonderry. For the 2010 edition in Plymouth an extra 1/2 day will be added as an industrial symposium on Developments in Service Robotics.
