HERE ARE TWO OF MY NEWEST ROBOTIC PETS OR 'TOYS' AS SOME MAY WANT TO CALL THEM, THIS IS TECKNO KITTY AND LA MOUSE. TECKNO KITTY IS SUPPOSED TO BE A EIGHT DAY OLD BABY KITTEN AND THERE ARE SEVERAL OF THESE THAT SHOW UP FROM TIME TO TIME, BUT LA MOUSE IS SUPPOSED TO BE RATHER RARE SO THIS IS WHY I BID AND WAS LUCKY TO WIN BOTH OF THESE GUYS. THEY SHOW EMOTION, HAVE COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND RUN ON BATTERIES. THEY HAVE TOUCH SENSORS ON HEAD, BACK AND NOSE AS WELL, IF YOU TOUCH THE NOSE THEY WILL SNIFF AND WHEN WALKING IF THEY RUN INTO SOMTHING THEY WILL SHUT THEMSELVES DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE. THEY HAVE A MOUTH SENSOR AS WELL SO THEY CAN EAT. YOU CAN ALSO PROGRAM THEM TO DO TRICKS, WAKE UP LIKE A ALARM CLOCK AT CERTAIN TIME OF DAY, ETC. THEY ALSO TALK TO EACH OTHER AND INTERACT. LA MOUSE IS VERY FUNNY, HE SAYS, HERE KITTY, KITTY, AND OH OH, WAS THAT A CAT? AND OTHER STRANGE THINGS. HE IS VERY FAST, TWICE AS FAST AS THE CAT AND IT IS A GOOD THING PLEO CAN NOT GO THAT FAST. THEIR EYES DETECT LIGHT AND DARKENESS AND THE EYES LIGHT UP AND EXPRESS MOOD. THE CAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO SING AND DANCE AS WELL, BUT I HAVE NOT PROGRAMMED THAT YET. THEY DO NOT LOOK LIKE A REAL ANIMAL LIKE PLEOS, BUT ARE FUN AND DRIVE MY DOG CRAZY!

Your collection's growing fast!

I bought my Kitty for Wilma the Aibo to play with, but we both got bored with it pretty quickly ......... until one of my cats discovered that if he batted its tail it wailed and ran forwards four steps and he started chasing it round the room. Worth every penny!

Hi Allo, sorry for the all caps mistake,

as I explained to someone else who pointed this out, I have constant back pain, and am on very strong opiate pain meds, ( Methadone) and have been since 2003, and it makes me very groggy and out of it. also I have bad arthritis starting in my right hand, the knuckle area, and it was hurting so bad the other day, that I just got lazy and did not want to keep hitting the shift key, was just using one hand.
I do apologize and have forced myself to only use caps if and when appropriate. I did not do it for any reason other than pain and being out of it, really half asleep and half awake, which in hind-sight would have been better to not post till I had taken a nap. Sorry for not being able to read it well. Thank goodness this site does not have penmenship instead of typing, as my handwriting is even worse!

RWM, caps are the equivalent of shouting on the net. If you have a lot of trouble talking consider using one of the many excellent speech to text programs out there.

Well I think you're kitty and mouse plus poor kitty's "lunch" mouse

are just very precious. I used to own the dog, and remember the cat came out shortly after I bought the dog. My brother had Poochee, I had Techkno. The mouse I would imagine is a pretty sweet deal.

Oh and I for one, did not find your post that hard to read.

Lol at the 'lunch' mouse!

I can't get over the size of La Mouse's ears - do they pick up sounds like satellite dishes? I can imagine them swivelling to receive!!

Hi Crewella, yes those ears are Enormous and so funny. The funniest thing about La Mouse, is listening to him speak, talking to the kitty," Here kitty kitty, " I tell you what, if mice were really that big in comparision to Kitty Cats, I would run for my life!And boy does that guy go, I will have to video tape a race between Pleo, Kitty and La Mouse, For his size, he can go faster than I can. Boy does he like to eat too! There is a site on the internet that I found for instructions on old robots including the Kitty, but there is not even a mention of the La Mouse, so I think he is rare, I also heard though that there was a Parrot and a Monkey. I think the Parrot would be fun too,........just so I could drive my cats crazy, and my poor dog wants all my toys. She thinks everything and anything that makes noise is for her of course!

I've seen pics of the parrot somewhere, but I'd never seen La Mouse either!

ROFL I can only imagine the look on your OH's face when they see a freakishly large metallic mouse..I imagine the OH would even freak by seeing "lunch mouse" too!

Degers, thank you, Bless you for helping me out on this, It took me forever just to figure out, ROFL, means rolling on floor laughing, I thought this was some secret code at first. Thanks for making it easier for me, I think someone should post a small post with what all this means for the other half or third or quarter.

of us, whom do not understand this stuff. My kids never talked like this, pig latin back then, so what do I know!
