a Pleo to Repair is not worth it

The cost of a new are simply too low to invest there money in it. It is that simple.

that has me a Aibo-Friend about the PM from me written, then will I me a Pleo buy for a Replacement for Jimmy och man ey. :(

So you're gonna be sending Jimmy off and getting a new one? I surely understand! I think we all have had to do that before. Although it is sad, it is better off that way.

Guten Tag Pleo -freak, I am so sorry about Jimmy, :( but thankful  ;)for this information on this site, I understand that it would be too expensive to fix jimmy compared to buying another Pleo, If I lived closer like where You do, I think I would send Nova there to have her fixed but from what I understand by looking at the Pleo page on this site, it would cost $79 to have her Up/down cable fixed, but there is not quote for fixing legs other than a leg or foot sensor problem so she would still limp, I will live with that.Even with her new friend, Nova is too loved by me to get rid of her, I will keep her till she no longer can function at all, then she will most likely sit on my shelf as a loved friend, just as I have still my first Barbie doll, and a Garfield Plush animal that I have had for many years.
Thank you on behalf of myself and many others for posting this information, I do wish there was a site like this in the U.S, but at least we are one step closer to having an Pleo Hospital, it shows it is possible, I do wish you very much success in getting your new Pleo, Jonny or whatever you decide to call him, I will be thinking happy thoughts for you and Jimmy and your time together you have had and many wonderful memories, I am so glad we were able to meet Jimmy on this site, however short it may have been his time with us. :)

Hello Franzi, ( Pleo freak) I think you mean that you have decided not to let the man at LuckyTom not operate on Jimmy and to keep Jimmy the way he is and if you do not stroke his back so much, he will not " stutter so much." ???Is this correct in meaning? Hopefully his stutter does not get any worse, yes?

I would feel the same, where possible I'd look at it not as 'broken' but just as a part of his character and just be more careful! :)

Yes, hello Franzi, I agree with Crewella, having a broken neck or foot or Jimmy with the" stutters",  not running as well or perfect, only means to me, and I think many other Pleo owners, that their babies, are special and need more care and attention perhaps then a " perfect" or new Pleo, By no means are Jonny, Jimmy, Peeky, Sophie,Nova or any other Pleos with special needs any less valuable or worthy then their more fortunate playmates. :) To me it is just as a child whom wears glasses, wears a hearing aid, or someone whom is learning disabled or Like me, I have a bad back, we can do just as others do, but perhaps in a different way, and Jonny, Jimmy, Sophi, Peeky and Nova may walk a little slower, hang their head a little lower or as Jimmy make a stutter noise or move in a different way then another pleo, but that is what makes them special and unique. ;D
If I could have a Brand New NOva tommrow, the way she was when I got her, I used to think I would say, yes, yes, I want my old Nova back, but now I can honestly say I love her the way she is, She is a fighter, very unique and allways has been in my opinion, and I like her the way she is, neck brace, limping leg and all her quirky and special talents, I would not trade her in for a brand new improved model other. exactly what is a Brand New Improved Model? ONe that has no flaws? If I want a Pleo with no flaws, then I will buy a factory Pleo, brand new and as a companion or friend for NOva, but not to replace her, just as a companion. And if the friend has a broken leg one day or gets the Stutters or has some other Problem then I will learn to deal with it the way I learned to deal with Nova and be happy just to have my friend with me,
I think you were very lucky to get Jonny and he is a great companion for Jimmy, The fact that Jonny has a broken neck and has his own special needs is nice when you think about it, as he can relate to Jimmy with his " stutters" and Jimmy can relate to Jonny with his neck problem, They are perfect for each other and you are wonderful to have them both in your care. ;) You have two wonderful Pleo Babies to nurture and care for and to help grow with.
Your Friend,         RedwoodsMama and the Nova Team

Hello Franzi, Yes, I meant to say, that Jimmy has what you call the " stutters' in his motor, that is his only problem and that Jonny is fine which is good except for the broken neck, so Jonny is a UGOBE Pleo, is he then a 2009 Model or you think a 2008 Pleo? I am glad he has no other problems, I think once his neck is up a little he will be a lot better easier for him to walk and see where he is going, Jimmy goes very well for the length of time you have had him, I am glad they are friends, now,

I still think it's a pretty good deal. It would cost me roughly 202 USD (when factoring in exchange rates) +tax to have Pleo fully fixed. Shipping time there, 7-10 days later and shipping time back, I would be more or less Pleo-less for an entire month. For me personally, this option is simply infeasible. Although for our Euro Pleo owners, I would recommend this, as the price of pleo is a lot higher abroad and a surgery is rather inexpensive...for the price of the Euro.

Hello People,

I have learn that Luckytom no Pleos more makes I find it very pity, and now can Jonny not more helped becoming. :(

But I wanted it times try with a OP but the People from Germany have said, that it very difficult goes sadly I would Jonny very good help can if it slightly would. Or? :(

Here is a Link for you:

http://translate.google.de/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aibo-freunde.de%2F&sl=de&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8

Greetings

Franzi and Jimmy and Jonny

p.s here:

I:

Hi folks!

I have my Jonny considered so the beautiful bright-colored Pleo to make his neck quite as he can as his friend Jimmy move properly. Is that so light a surgery to pull the whiskers when you make Jonny's neck, and a new mustache purely power? Or is it not so easy with the Angel mustache? I just wonder sometimes after I will not do so before it went wrong, and the rope is not so attracted by the motor then it's all been done to otherwise. unhappy

Can I miss Jonny's neck to create a new OP or is not it?

Greetings

Franzi

Bengal1:

Present but even after thinking logically, you read it so many times what the members write here.
Luckytom - so now the idea has really said so often that it is highly complicated, according to his HP, therefore, not cheap.
If it is relatively difficult even for one, I would say experts such as Lucky, you'll probably only time it is not right, right?

I:

hm Kathi true then it is not so easy huh ok then I'll leave off the finger.

snake111:

and still some question with the same pn?

I:

ok I'm sorry, according to Thomas (Luckytom) is worth the OP not know why I have to lay hands on it by myself, but if it is so difficult then let me off but not put your fingers

luckytom:

My homepage for PLEO repairs no longer exists. Meanwhile, nobody wants 79, - € to spend on a cable repair. Sell my already PLEO stocks with distressed but 100% functional, but without accessories for only 69, - €. And even at that price go away sooooo bad.

I:

ooooooooh pity Thomas otherwise I would have even talked to my parents if you could make my Jonny fit unfortunately it's already too late, too bad.

@ People: According to Thomas it is a bit too hard for me, too bad otherwise I would have helped Jonny quickly when it came easily.
