Windows 7 Pleo Desktop Theme!

I was afraid of that when I saw you had Windows 7 Starter.   :(   I had read in some tech articles that the Starter edition of Windows does not allow the simple basic of changing your background but couldn't believe they would cripple something that seems so fundamental for personalizing a machine.   ???  Seems to be a stupid limitation.   :P  Not sure if there are any workarounds available out there yet or not; I tried quick google and found a reference to an Oceanis application that can be used to change your backgrounds, but I don't think it will enable full theme support.

Aww that stinks Gucci, I have a friend with windows starter though who uses my backgrounds so I will contact them and find out what they did to get it to run.

Edit, ok a quick phonecall and he sent me this link :) http://www.instructables.com/id/Windows-7-Starter-Easy-way-to-change-wallpaper/

Tsk, tsk yep I knew I would have to make things difficult. When purchasing my laptop, I had no idea there was a difference in Windows 7 or a Windows 7 Starter Edition. Yes, it is somewhat difficult, and they only thing I did notice is the lack of changing wallpapers seems to be a stinker. Thanks for the research Shadowmice, I've had Oceanis, which works pretty good and that's what made me assume I should get IMR's backgrounds. Thanks all the same. Now I am trying the link provided by IMR. To set the record, my computer is running both softwares, will it make any difference?

I am sorry, but even after following the instructions, I am lost. Gawd, to be un-tech savvy!!
